    Superb printer, bought mine during prime sale for $619. While I have no frame of reference cause this was my first 3d printer, I was able to use it as a complete noob and produce great results and haven't had to fiddle with any settings so far.

    Do you really need a washer and curer for resin printers? Or can you get away with a couple uv lamps and a go in the kitchen sink?

      you will need Isopropyl alcohol or Elegoo's detergent to clean the resin off the prints, 100% cure the print before disposing, the resin will eat through stuff. I typically clean it then leave it out to the sun to dry - alternatively you'll need UV lamps/ lights - but would not recommend pouring resin down anywhere uncured

    Do you need to change the whole resin tray or just replace the film?

      I might be able to help with this question - assuming you are talking about what to do after a single print, you'll pour the resin back into the resin bottle and will need to clean the resin tray. Not sure where replacing the film comes in unless you damage the tray's film

        Some older printers didn't have screw in Fep, so when it wore out or was damaged you'd have to replace the whole vat with a new one with a preinstalled Fep. I haven't heard of any printer being like that in years though.

      i OWN one of these.
      Just undo the loads of screws, remove old film, put new film in, do up screws…..
      film is cheap, you can buy rolls, or pre-cut sizes!

      you only need to replace the film when it breaks, or when it wears out - which isn't very often at all!
