  • What the hell does that do? Is it for athletes and phds or ordinary peasants?

  • Annual Membership $299

I did as a trial to see if I could drop my apple watch. I returned the whoop well before the 1 month trial. It's good but I don't think their sleep tracking features (IHMO the rest of features are on par with the apple watch particularly with the recent WatchOS version) justify an annual subscription.

      • Thanks. Annual sub turns me off from even trying

I trialed it for a few months in conjunction with my Apple Watch. I liked the way Whoop presented the data in comparison to Apple Health which is pretty shit.
If Whoop would just use the data from my Watch Iā€™d consider a paid subscription (not this expensive though). Been meaning to try something like Athlytic which does just that.

    • Used it for an year

So you buy the band and then you are locked into an annual subscription as well.

    • Yeap. The only "good" thing is that any upgraded devices are included in the subscription. Don't recommend to be honest.

  • Death by 100 subscriptions.
I got the RingConn2, cost me like $200 (Kickstarter a few months ago) no subscription, more lightweight than a whoop and I can still wear my automatic watch
