does it come with Dr Sbaitso?

These look quite nice on the outside, but the sound specs never seem to make any of the audiophile ranking lists.

  • I'm looking for something external that would input sound from PC and output to 3.5mm/6.3mm and optical ports. Unfortunately, everything I could find up to $150 didn't do its job well, and I don't want to pay even this amount of money. Any suggestions on what could fit in here that I might miss?

    • Perhaps the Creative unit in this deal may be suitable for your price range?

You are likely looking for something Chinese made to come close to your budget. Fiio brand?

https://www.reddit.com/r/BudgetAudiophile/comments/16su663/b… - this link may assist you with your search.

      • Could you recommend anything similar to this? I'm after somethign with with 3.5mm/6.3mm out for headphones, and rca/3.5mm out for a set of speakers, headphone amp need to be 600ohms though (dt990 pro 600ohms) Had trouble finding something to do the 600ohms as well :(

edit: sorry I meant cheaper as well, or is this basically my only option ? (Want something small as possible too)

        • As my conditions are similar, and I did my research on this subject, you shouldn't focus on 600ohms. Not all devices have any ohms in specs at all. But a good device will meet this requirement by design.

          • @Ozzster: Yeah that's the trouble I've been having not all items list it, and I don't really know a "good" one from a bad one. Reason I need 600ohms is I already have them just not being used atm as I changed my setup and no longer have the DAC I used but want to go back to them.

            • @SuBw00FeR: You just need a review from a pro with appropriate measurements.

  • Creative quality is horrible, have a headset from them that lasted like 18 months and broke. Wouldn't suggest buying from them at all.

Creative had (& may still have) a good reputation in sound cards, which is why I was looking at their external offerings at one time. Seems there are plenty of competitors outside of the PC market, that have better tech. The more research you do, the higher the budget goes……

How far this brand has fallen. Do not recommend their products because driver support is terrible.

    • V3 drivers for this have been broken a long time. V2 drivers are perfect though.
