Any point in this vs a 7500f

    • Nah, not really.

    • +1

Slightly higher single core, multi core clock speed, more power efficient and supports ram with a slightly higher memory speed but if you already have a 7500f no it’s not worth upgrading to this IMO.

      • Thanks for that :)

    • iGPU and slightly increased performance due to higher clocks, cache and memory speed. Game benchmarks show this around 7700/7700x level.

I would say the 7500f still has a place but pointless getting 7600x when 9600x is this price.

  • +1

pretty sure the 7700 is the same price as well. Just watch out for the dodgy stores that are super cheap.

    • 9600x slightly above 7700 in multi-game benchmarks and for general use and this is likely to increase as Windows coding improves.

Applications and games optimised for more cores would still prefer the 7700 though.

    • What are the dodgy stores hoping? Someone forgets to file a claim for the paper weight that was sent?

      • i would say so. they send something to a random address so it looks like its been delivered

        • If all the buys are claiming 'did not receive item' pretty sure Aliexpress steps in and everyone gets a refund.

          • @Prodev3r: well they sell a few thousand items with in a week or 2 then disappear by the looks. not sure if ali eats the costs

            • @Gotboost: The sellers dont get paid until buyer clicks ''item received''. Upon receiving a paper weight the buyer always disputes the claim.

              • @Prodev3r: oh yeah, wasn't to sure on that. But have noticed a lot of new stores popping up. I fell for 1 but got my money back. Aliexpress was difficult, just went through paypal instead.

  • AM4 or AM5? Help me pick OzB

This be for my second machine, but first Ryzen setup (my main is i9 13900k/4080)

    Planning on this or 5700X3D/4060-70

    • it's AM5

  • Anyone received the 9600x from last post?

It says today is the last day but no update yet.

    • Still awaiting flights, should've been delivered yesterday

      • Same. I think they are giving us a fake tracking. I left a message asking for a genuine tracking but no luck.

      • Update: upon checking with aliexpress CS they are using platform official courier service - it's not updating but I am told the stock is already in Australia now awaiting local courier arrangement.

        • Mine said attempted delivery but no one was home. Searched AusPost using the tracking number said pending.

If the same thing happened to you, they must have used fake tracking info.

          • @Meteor Anarcom: mine stuck at depart from the source country or something. I ll wait till the end of this week. If not delivered then I ll apply for a refund.

          • @Meteor Anarcom: I've got mine delivered. Hope you have the same luck.
