I’ve got 2 of their hose reels at my place for over 4 years now, each of them get used multiple times a week. Tradies have used and no doubt abused them during major renovations over the years and they are yet to require any maintenance on them whatsoever.

No leaks, no o-ring replacements needed yet. Retractable mechanism still works like they’re brand new.

The new evolve series reels now come with 5 year warranty.

Don’t forget cashbacks.

Price of what? They sell many different products. 15% off these is a good deal!

    • Yeah their reels are double the price of of the basic bunnings one I got that has lasted just as long with no issues.

  • Anyone in southern Brisbane making an order and would be happy to throw a $3.57 Clip-on adapter into the cart? I just can't face paying $12 for it.

  • I had a lot of trouble with O-rings vanishing when I changed fittings or moved to a different tap. Also the Ned Kelly spray leaked like a sieve and seemed impossible to service. However, I have to agree the twist fitting works incredibly well (when you haven't lost an O-ring).

When every fitting you own is designed for click fittings, these are inconvenient. Think twice about pros and cons before you buy.

    • I started having issues with the fittings, and replaced them with the normal ones. I find the hoselink ones far too large and heavy, and I need to be able to hook up other things like my pressure cleaner.

  • evolve or classic?

I have a classic and bloody love it. Reading the differences - are they worth $70 more? Maybe. The Classic is still a very good bit of kit, if the Evolve claims are all true then it probably is worth the extra. You'll be happy either way.

If it's for occasional use the Aldi 20m ones for $50 are great, mine have endured multiple SEQ summers in the sun and don't miss a beat.

  • Just bought the new evolve and absolutely love it.

Its just a shame the 20m and 30m share the same form factor/case.
They really should've made the reel smaller for 20m.

  • I already have 2 x 30m classics and sort of need a 3rd (for a water tank)……just can't quite justify spending another $200….

No question that they are good….but hell expensive for what they are.

  • on amazon is free shipping right?

  • This or Gardena?

  • Got one 25m hiflow retractable hose reel for $160 from everyday market, very happy with it so far.
Have a hose from the same brand for 10 years still going strong

  • I think everyone goes through a process where they realise basic/ mid range reels from Bunnings just don’t last. You won’t want to buy a new one every 2-3 years.

Getting hoselink is the end of that process.
