Hmmmm… Even though it's a paid game, there's a listing on the Google Play page that says, "Contains ads . In-app purchases".

That's probably why they can afford to give it away for free.

That's beside the point. Microtransactions are the scourge of gaming, there is nothing good that comes from "pay to win". They prey on hooking people in and then extracting more from them than they were prepared to pay upfront. You might not have had this happen, and neither have I, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen and it's not intentional manipulation. It suckers people in the same way gambling does.

I mean, did you play this game and its 'pay-to-win'?
No, you just have your copy-pasta ready to go when you see in-app purchases, just another sjw. Also, this has NOTHING to do with gambling.

@nikoris: I had no judgement even after reading the comment exchange here - I clicked through to check out the game.

I happened to scroll down to the 'Events and offers' section and there is an event titled "Crystal Clear Rewards: Spend to Win Big"…

They're not even trying to hide it any more!

@nikoris: It's exactly the same as gambling. Fires all of the same receptors, and they make sure it does.

$4.49 with ads and IAP is a rort to begin with. No deal.

I take a look at my life and realize there's none left

A game changing to a free to play model is not a bargain.

Pay to win games is ruining gaming

  • I played it and…. don't bother - the game is just an ad delivery mechanism.
