After seeing how all the tradies treat these in the CBD…..id be concerned about their quality.

    • +1

forget tradies, have you seen how the general public treat them🤣

  • +2

Hopefully they've cleaned the blood splatter off these…

      Do they for secondhand cars?

  • +1

I bought 2 a few weeks back. I got a brand new G2 max only weeks before that but I ride the ex beam one with my kid all the time. The G2 is unlocked at 35km but the beam seems to have a bit more power up the hills and for some reason, more fun. There is also the not bothered about scratches factor. Great value

  • Hoping to get it down to $300, might have to settle for $350, don't even need a scooter….

    • Save 1 cent, it's $349.99

  • +3

Man, those beam scooters have had every cent bashed out of them … I wouldn't even pay $200 for it considering how hacked up it would be and how intensive the battery would be degraded ….

  • Is there a way to service/replace the battery on these?

    • +1

Yes but these have a significantly larger battery capacity than the retail model. So I don’t think you can actually get this battery unless direct from China or something.

      • Thanks. I guess I'll find out :) If I get to use it for 10 mintes a day for a year, I'm better off than catching the bus or driving the car, just to get to the shops/gym.

price drop of $50, hopefully more to go too, Perth they started at $299

  • is there a code to use?

    • Not anymore.

  • Never had a scooter, any suggestions as to main things to look for when testing?
I understand these will have scratches and marks etc, moreso what sort of mechanical wear should i look for?
Is there a minimum percentage point where battery should be or where it would be flat at half its claimed distance?

    • +1

have a read at the link I posted above there's links to the previous discussion for Perth when they sold them off, they cover most questions & also other links to a reddit discussion

  • Bought 2. wish me luck.

    • How'd you go?

      • +1

Bought two with the seat because theyre on better condition, going to remove the seat and put a basket on it. Otherwise it was super seamless, super helpful and friendly team in Westend. Pickup is next to the left of Ultratune

        • Did you have ones with the seat on your original order or without the seat?
Everything i have read so far says they wont let you look at any others unless your one allocated on the order is faulty?

          • @micm66: They let me change with no issue, they wanted cash though so whatevs.

            • +1

@ashumz: Thanks will give it a try when i get mine on saturday,

              • @micm66: Victor is the manager I think, Super friendly. They were all super nice and accomodating. Just look for Ultratune and its to the left of their garage. Its not signed very well.

                • @ashumz: any indication of how the sell off is going, there was a large fleet in Brisbane & uptake doesn't appear as popular as Perth etc so wondering if they will drop price further to offload, only a few days until they are totally off the streets

also wondering if they will help with access to the battery

                  • +1

@Irishness: They still had alot left but had said they were more then 50% through the stock left.

Accessing the battery isnt very hard anyway
