Unless robovacs become drones with full powered vacuums on them they will never fully replace normal vacuums. They can't vacuum stairs, windows, anything not on the floor, cars, and they currently aren't very good at vacuuming pet fur on a carpet.
I have a robovac and a Dyson and I regularly use them both. Robovacs aren't perfect.
