  • WOW. This is sick. Great value. Got mine for $1214 in Feb

    • What do you play on it? Happy with its performance?

      • +1

I do like it but just dont have time play much. End up sellling it to a friend. Play almost everything you throw at it. Best games so far I enjoyed was Fallout 4, Hitman, Day gone. Ah playing Hades on this is a treat too. Emulators are no braindr as it windows based. Super easy

      • +3

I've been playing kingdom come deliverance. I'm FIFO so it makes the plane rides a lot more enjoyable. Can get smooth 40-60 fps with medium settings. It's not a AAA gaming machine but plays older and less demanding games easily.

It spends a lot of its time hooked up to a monitor and plays games on a 1080p monitor too. War thunder, bannerlord heavily modded, Witcher 3, plenty of emulators. For its size, it's fantastic.

My main grip is the controllers, they are designed for the "mouse mode" but that's gimmicky imo and I find the buttons on the back to be annoying, although they are left blank so I don't have to worry about incorrect inputs. The sticks and main buttons (like a regular controller) that you use work just fine. It would be nice if third party controllers or reskins were available, it's a small issue tho.

        • +1

I've been playing that on my Steam Deck, really looking forward to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. It's looking like a perfect evolution of an already great game.
I considered a Lenovo, but the ergonomics on the Steam Deck were a priority for me personally. No regrets 1 year later.

          • @alxjpow: Yea, I've used a steam deck, it's way lighter and just a bit more ergonomical. But sacrifices a big screen and some power. Each to their own.

Don't forget the detachable controllers, it becomes a very inconspicuous PC for work time "productivity" using M+Kb.

  • What a cracking price

  • -1

    $799.20

  • Cracker deal

  • Selling a lot slower than I expected.
    This price is amazing!

    • Very niche market though… right?

      • I think so, for hardcore gamers that need absolute portability.

I keep telling myself that I need one of these but then I'm getting by with my tab s7 ultra and steam link. I don't think I'd swap out 120hz @ 1440p gaming on the tablet for that extra portability (and a tiny screen/less ergo controller). The tablets portable enough to move around the house/toilet

    • I'm tempted, but I checked one out at JB a while ago, and it is enormous compared to the Ally, which even then I feel is a bit too big.

      • +1

Yeah its definitely not for most people.
Steam deck is the better option for most.

        • I find the Steam Deck to be on the border off too big as well. For me, the whole portability thing becomes moot once they hit this size. But likely depends on use-case, I would pretty much exclusively use one of these on public transport, so it is too big. If someone were using it just at home, I could see the bigger size being fine.

          • @witheredcouch: Want lighter load get switch it's lightest and cheapest in all port games.

            • @DEvok: I have a switch, i want something more capable. An Ally will likely end up being my compromise, with my RG556 relied upon for emulation.

  • Dude that's crazyyyy. What do you guys play on these? :o

    • +12

My favourite is "see how long the battery lasts"

      • +2

My favourite is "see how long the battery" powers down

  • Codes don’t work for me?

  • +3

Damn…. Do I need one? I don't use my SD Oled THAT much.

    • Sell it to me pls

      • Eh I paid like $1200 for it, now its available in Australia I would lose a LOT on that

    • +1

Nah, the steam deck Oled is enough

      • +1

Yeah - I know it is. I love the screen and size, so I don't think bigger will equal better for me.
$780 is too much still for something just to mess around with

      • And thank God, SD2 will not be released until 2026, so we don’t need to keep up with the technology race.

  • -1

    and OOS

  • Outstanding price

  • Is this considered better or worse than steam deck?

    • Bigger screen or better colors?

This can do everything the steam deck can (through bazzite OS) other than reproduce oled colors. You decide how important that is to you.

This will have better performance in games, albeit lower battery life

  • Tried and couldn't purchase - sold out

EDIT: I tried 3 times and on the third the purchase went through.

    • Still can purchase

    • It was OOS when 120 were sold, now more stock added

  • That’s sick price

  • managed to snag one. not sure if i want it though..

  • Tempted to get, but even then i use my Steam Deck so infrequently, only on travels, otherwise good deal i reckon

  • +1

Jeebus, that went OOS quicker than 'tallica tickets!

    • +2

I got 'tallica tickets.. snakepit too :D

      • +1

        Jealous!!!!

  • +2

I got it mainly for the detachable controllers - easier on my tennis elbow to use a joy con in each hand than a full size controller or holding the thing. So only option for me, but YMMV.

Also going to use it instead of a tablet and as a pretty powerful mini PC with a portable monitor for trips away.

I'm losing about $30 on postage to send back the one I got from Bing Lee earlier in the week (still hasn't arrived) so it's more like $810 for me, but still a great price I think

  • +3

One of those items that's tempting to buy but I know it'll just gather dust after awhile.

  • Have one, works great, battery life is very short though, recharge time is also quite long, so not actually that ideal for long trips

  • Sold out! Damn, was very keen at this price

  • Is eBay plus even worth it???

    • I paid $19 for it this year, as they gave me a $30 voucher. I've already made the money back on the extra 2% extra on coupons

  • +2

OMG, I was searching the comparison with ally and onex1 this week and decided to go with Legion, and I was about to go to Harvey Norman last night, luckily I didn't go, that's an amazing bargain!!! Thanks a lot!!! I just bought it immediately

    • You're welcome, cracking deal I think.

  • OOS FFFFFFFF

  • Missed out on the White LE Steam Deck the other day

All I wanted was something to play my Free games I get regularly from Steam, Epic Games, GOG and Amazon Gaming as I don’t own a PC

Looks like the Legion GO will do all this for me?

    • +1

I mean absolutely, that's what its for

      • -1

I’ll leave the AAA games to my XSX and PS5 PRO

  • Anyone know if these types of deals ever restock?

  • Bought one but not sure I want it. Is it fre return ?

    • Marketplace

    • Not sure
      Let me know

    • if you're a plus subscriber it should be.
But you could very easily sell this on marketplace for the same price paid, or more.

  • great price for it.

  • nooooooooooo :(

  • WOOOOOW
I bought at 950 and thought that was a good deal. This is INSANE

  • A laptop can go 30%-50% off. I believe this can too in the future :)

  • Does it say how many they sold with this deal?

    • It was around 97 sold before the coupon went live, and at 136 sold now. So nearly 40 units.

      • Thanks
They didn’t have many then at this price

  • +2

I know these are crazy powerful, but after considering all things relevant for me, I waited for a good eBay sale and got Switch Lite Hyrule edition for $259. yeah it's 7yo tech but it's super good for money you pay.

really lightweight (275 grams), portable, quality controls, and mindblowing how much gaming I can do on the go, including nier automata, alan wake, portal 1 and 2. plus all the awesome arcade stuff available. for a casual gamer that values portability I want nothing more.

I was excited about all these legion go and steam deck and ally and whatnot. but heavy, but windows on a handheld yeah nah. yeah can get games cheaper on windows, but still didn't convince me. windows on a handheld will find its way to bite me down the track. I got enough of it on the laptops and PC's I use

but then again, probably makes a lot of sense for someone who doesn't have a gaming PC and or console already.

this is an awesome deal don't get me wrong. but even at this price I wouldn't use it much. too heavy, too bulky, plus windows. nah

    • Portability of the switch is unreal

      • especially lite. omg that thing is just a few grams heavier than my phone.

took a LONG time to figure out which model to grab, almost settled on the OLED with mario game and online 12m bundle for $450 through same sale, larger OLED screen is awesome

but it would reduce portability too much, add features and accessories I have no use for, so I decided nah. lite special edition is all I want lol

        • This is why you buy an Retroid Pocket 5

    • Where is the lite deal?

      • +1

EB Games eBay is where I got my Lite Hyrule it's listed at $309 and eBay app suggested me some discount code that took $50 off. I didn't think long and can't see now what the code was. I got eBay Plus.

        • +1

You used it, that's why you can not see it now.i will have a look

        • Shows $30 off and with the 9.95 delivery on top. I will skip it. I have an OLED panel for lite on order. Will mod current lite when it arrives

          • @ce5himm: wow didn't think it was possible. is there a guide you'd recommend? where did you source the panel

            • +1

@shabaka: https://retroremake.co/pages/super5 and there are video on YouTube. https://youtu.be/xFxs5DHsZ5I?si=n5e06fJygs4ANfaG

Also this guy might going to sell 7 inch yes 7 inch OLED screen for non OLED switch to mod.

              • @ce5himm: nice thanks a lot

unlikely I will do this, IMO original lite panel is good for what it is. but let me know how it goes. anything that involves a heat gun I would consider too risky / too hard

plus the Hyrule version exterior is so cool I don't want to mess it up lol

                • @shabaka: No heat gun involved

                  • @ce5himm: I looked at the installation video and they used heat gun

                    • @shabaka: Cos they have it handy. To make it easier, hairdryer will do. Hyrule looks good, but to some OLED +hemi out+ hall effect joystick Hyrule is the ultimate switch.

  • I was online but didn't buy.
I can't see any use case for me.

  • this lets me rid of my tablet, my 2nd pc for emulation and portable game console all in one

    • Would keep your tablet. They are useful

  • Missed it lol

  • Back in stock and was able to get one at this price.

    • Maybe an order your cancelled, lucky you.

  • +1

yeah when these sell out keep checking they sometimes come back. either cancellations or stock adjustments.

  • changed to $1499 now, hope they wont cancel the previous order.

    • Yeah almost looks like it was listed at the wrong price. Never mind, back to 999 and still out of stock

    • It's back to $999 but still out of stock. What are they playing at?

  • +1

I messaged them asking if they will have more stock and they advised it won't be restocked anytime soon. Makes me think they are clearing stock in anticipation for the Legion Go 2

    • I am sure there will be 2, but with the price 779, I don’t mind a 1. ;)

      • Haha yeah I'm exactly the same. Sad I missed out on this one!
