Decent price by itself, but not the lowest ever according to previous deals on OzBargain and CamelCamelCamel.

  Not a bad price, but the exceptional full-frame Tamron 70-300mm can be had for $600-700 usually and will work on both APS-C and FF.

      It's slightly longer, but somewhat lighter.
      No OSS though, but if you are like me and have both APS-C and FF, then perhaps there's some consideration to being FF capable - or people considering upgrading to an A7C or similar.
