      refuse

I see what you did there.

    rubbish price

    Bin cheaper?

  • Thanks OP.

  • I'm receptive to this pricing for a moveable receptacle of this volume for agricultural practices. However, if your council supplied bin broke, check your local council first and contact them for a fix.

Always wondered what do I do with this extra bin but is not part of council bin. If I add another bin to my front lawn as sometimes I need 2x green bins regularly. Will it get emptied?

    • In Brisbane at least, you can have up to 3 green bins, and they charge $12.38 per quarter per bin - and that gives you ~6 collections based on the fortnightly schedule.

"An eligible property can have up to three green waste recycling bins, however this is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Each bin will be charged at the new full rate of $49.52 for the service."

I've often wondered if you can cancel the bin once obtained.

    • maybe if you paint it to match the councils bin :)

      No they won’t.

      Will it get emptied?

      No, unlikely to be emptied.

Always wondered what do I do with this extra bin

I am going to probably get one for my cans/bottles etc for the 10c collection. I currently use our recently provided "glass" bin for it.

Ah I see, so just temporary storage essentially. Deceiving use as it looks like the council bins haha

  • +1

    Bin there, done that

  • Thanks Op! Bought for return and earn stash.

If you tell the council yours was stolen, they give you a free bin no questions asked.
