Based on my experience, their products may look impressive, but the quality and RMA service are unreliable.

    • What issues did you have?

I had bios corruption on my hx90 after 2 years. Started with random reboots and couldn't get past POST several times. Then it became unbootable even after a bios reset. Eventually got a replacement but fought hard for it after customer service denied me due to it being out of warranty.

Good to know, can cross this brand off my list.

        • Yikes, thanks

I'm just going through RMA and have similar experience as well. My product (TH80) is still under warranty (1 year old) and was purchased via Amazon AU. Some USB ports stopped working, so I've sent it back to them directly. So far so good. But then they told me the product is end of life and I have to pay the difference to get the latest model. By Australian law, they need to provide repair or replacement without any additional cost. I ended up paying them $70 on top, because I just needed it quickly. 18 days later, I still don't have a replacement and their support is extremely slow in responding.

Minisforum has plenty of mixed reviews including poor wifi performance due to bad chasis design and other unusual QC issues like this.

With that said they are one of the more established mini pc brands, but I'd steer clear.

Just my 2 cents, but if you're buying a SFF PC made in China, you might as well buy a Chinese brand with decent reviews.

I'm trying to figure out what to buy as I'd like one of these. I thought I found a good deal yesterday here but it seems it's overpriced by a big margin. What should people be looking for before buying one of these mini PC's? Any advice will be appreciated. I'm really confused.

I worked it out (in my use case) not really worth it to pay $800+ for these chinese branded mini pc, just for a bit over $1k can get you a pretty good Lenovo laptop, and you can even run extended screens with external monitor. Plus a well known branded laptop can prob last longer than these things

      • Well, I had been looking at the Ideapad 5 Pro for $1299.Maybe next big cashback sale I'll get one.

        I appreciate your idea. Thanks.

No worries also think about resale value later, bet you can still sell a lenovo laptop, but will be impossible to sell a mini pc like this to someone who is not a tech person. Checkout a few flippers trying to make a profit on scumtree from that previous Beelink deal, they keep dropping prices and still there.
