I've been after a computer for a while and been interested in these small PC's. Saw this deal today and felt I should share it. It replaces the Nucbox K8 which had an issue with fan noise (which I'm upgrading from). The Nucbox K8 Plus has a few improvements including Oculink and better thermals. I'm no computer expert, but this seems great for what I need, and I can hide it when I'm away. I was considering a MiniPC with a budget of $1,200, so quite happy with the price. Combine with whatever cashback you can get.

Some details, but see the product page (or Official site) for more info.

Need a sub $400 limited stock deal to pop up again :(

Yeah whenever I remember that $449 Bosgame M2 deal, anything like this is too expensive not a bargain lol !

We've seen mini PCs featuring an 8845HS processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 1TB of storage for under $500 on Amazon using store coupon codes. Given this, the current price appears to be in line with typical pre-Black Friday discounts and doesn't seem like a standout deal to me.

Exactly, these specs mini pc should be around $500 not $800, we will HODL!

  • +2

Pretty much standard price for these. They usually just have a regular "coupon" deal to get it to this price

Ah sorry, I thought it seemed like a deal particularly with the Oculink eGPU setup, all the connectors and quad outputs etc, comparing to the other deals. Thanks for letting me know.

After seeing on YT the dGPU setup via the oculink, it sure looks very clumsy, would rather just buy a pre-built one from techfast instead …

      • The USB4 offers much better flexibility, but it runs only x4 PCIe 3.0. Buyers should mainly consider the USB4 port for connecting 8K external displays. While USB4 is excellent for portable laptops and eGPU, its benefits are harder to justify for a stationary mini PC.

The ideal mini pc prices guideline should be:
    N100 $200
    6600h $300
    7735hs/6900hx $400
    8845hs $500

    • What price guideline for Ultra 9 185H and Ultra 7 155H?
