Was looking for a decent home theatre system, and found this one pretty good.

Then why does it say they are on the LG website, the JB website and the review on the JB website?
I think you will find that most systems are similar. I have a Sony system in the same price range and the wireless bit refers only to the fact that you do not need to run a cable from the front of the room to the back. Not exactly what I was expecting either, but I guess the assumption is that you need power for the speakers.
Are LG any good these days?
For home theatres NO!
They still are Lucky Goldstar.
I bought samsung HT-E5550w yesterday from David Jones.. For $480.. I think that was a good deal.
Picked up one of these from DSE for $249 a couple of months ago

They have on clearance at Costco for $397 for the last two months…
How about this one, I am looking for a decent home theatre system too, do not know which one better:

the LG one has wireless rear speakers, slot load disk tray, taller speakers, bigger sub, I think LG is better, and I just got this price beat from Harvey Norman for $440, picked one up tonight. we don't have costco in WA and did not see $397 when i got it.
Just a heads up the rear speakers are not wireless like they state they are, the rear speakers are wired to a receiver, and the receiver needs to be plugged into a wall
