Another good SSD at a good price.
If you prefer SN850X (about $367 too), see this one - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/878281

Is there a way to upgrade on a Mac OS, via a TB 3 enclosure?
Unfortunately not:
https://www.kingston.com/en/support/technical/ssdmanager
The Kingston SSD Manager is not compatible with Mac OS or Linux distributions.
It is recommended to use your Kingston SSD's native interface when using Kingston SSD Manager. USB enclosures are not supported.
I had one delivered on Monday and it was already running this version of FW so these might be fresh stock.
Which is single sided and best for laptop?
+1
Crucial P3 plus should be. Lexar NM790 is too. 990 pro as well
Check with reviews that it's compatible/fast enough, as there's a handful of 4tb options.
P3 plus vs NM790, check reviews or price /features.
Best to wait for BF sales to properly kick in?
That's my plan. I'm looking for a fast 4tb at around the $300-350 mark over this black friday/cyber monday. Not holding my breath for a sub $300 Lexar NM790, but that would be ideal.
In the same boat, although the CRAAS KLEV C910 4tb was $279 yesterday at Mwave/Umart/MSY. was still mulling it over and today, all out of stock. lol.
This or Lexar NM790 for laptop usage, no gaming, just office, browsing, movies, very light video editing, files etc.
Good SSD, ensure you update the firmware if purchasing. For ~ the same price I'd personally buy the 850X.
