    That's a great price.
We bought an A750 just over a year ago and it has been much better than the early reviews suggested.
I think it's helped that there have been some good updates since then.
We use it for video editing (DaVinci Resolve mainly), Blender and also gaming.
Definitely - there are better cards out there, but for the price (and especially this price), it's great value.

    • How well does Blender and DaVinci run on it? I'm tempted to get one for that alone.

DaVinci is fine. Haven't pushed things to the n'th degree, but for timelines with a few different overlays, nodes etc the card doesn't slow down the workflow at all and final rendering is suitably quick.

        Blender is a bit different.
You can do all your work no problems with this card, however it can struggle with the final rendering (it can do it - it just takes a long time) especially if you are looking for a high level of detail.
My daughter did the "donuts" tutorial (YouTube) and with all the different stuff that went into the final product along with camera motion etc etc, a full render was going to take a couple of days for a 5 second output.
However, she knocked down the detail and had a perfectly acceptable (as in, still very very good) result with a 6-7 hour render.
A better card will take a lot less time to achieve the same thing.

With that B580 spotting just yesterday, here's hoping for a smooth and awesome launch of alchemist.

A750 and A770 are just fine cards considering bandwidth and vram you get per pricepoint and comes with fine wine drivers thats still aging (albeit given a first attempt from intel, still major compatibility issues in some cases). Please let alchemist be even better.

The duopoly needs to be stopped to curb the gpu price inflation and as unlikely as this would sound Intels the only guy that can do it. AMDs way too happy to hide in Nvidias shadow and chip away on the lower end price segment (except what even is low end nowadays with how much cards are going for with both brands) and nvidia doesnt care about us plebs no more.

Sparkle "ORC" A750 is even less at $259: https://www.ple.com.au/Products/661417/sparkle-intel-arc-a75…

    • Looks nice in the blue too.

    • Same gpu too right?

      • +1

Yes, same GPU but not overlocked like this one is.

        • I'm not sure where the 2400MHz boost clock info in the post was from. In the description graphics I see both list 2200MHz boost clock.

The differences I noticed was the cooler, the ROC also being 2.5 slots wide vs 2.2 of the ORC (plus the ROC has a blue LED light bar while the ORC has an RGB one that syncs to the temp)

  • Just be aware for any potential buyers you'll want pcie4 and resizable bar support for best performance
