  • Seems OK. Fanless according to datasheet which is better than the screaming banshee versions from tp-link

Check out the total PoE budget and output per port before buying.

You made me click, anyone wanting the cheat sheet it's: 150w total, 30w per port.

      • Most of these "Business-Level Quality" appliances have these wild claims like 16 PoE+ ports, but as it turns out it's not really the case, as that would be around 500W PoE budget.
For comparison, my old Juniper switch has 24 PoE+ ports, 30W per port with a 740W PoE budget, and a 930W PSU (with the option to add a second PSU).

  • 4 of these badboys daisychained and you're sorted for less than a third of the price!

      No POE
      No Management

      Not the same

      • No sense of humour.

        • Thank you. 🤭

Been using the Festa equipment including this switch and router for bit over 2 months. It has been very stable so far.

VPN router and wifi ap for me.
      Zero issues

That VPN router price is a bargain.

That VPN router + ax3000 wifi ap is a bargain combined consumer router option.

      • Yeah I am also using the Ceiling and Wall APs and they are great too.

  • Festa is a complete cloud-based networking solution designed specifically for small businesses, home offices, and prosumers.

So, Internet is required to configure the switch? Guessing it will still operate as an unmanaged switch by default.

    • You can configure the basics via the local web port, but it's management following the initial setup is via the cloud controller.
(Same as the paid option cloud controller for their omada range or what ubiquiti offer)

(I'm talking based on their VPN router experience, haven't used one of the dedicated managed switches)

  • Mother trucker, this would have been ideal for my use case, vlan for camera network and all… Would have saved me buying a second switch.

That said, I did need extra ports.

    • The deal is back on.
