  There's another lovely illustrated edition of The Hobbit, in a larger format, which I bought in hardback for my kid earlier this year. Rated 4.9 on Amazon (this one 4.7), but not on sale unless you count the paperback version being sub-$20. Depends whether you want Tolkein's illustrations only, or a fully illustrated version by an artist.

    Geez, that didnt last long.. Looks like its not Amazon AU anymore but over to Amazon Germany with the higher price. Hopefully it comes back but I'll mark as expired.
