  • This or kogan mobile? Both appear to be Vodafone network, with Kogan offering slightly higher data per month at the same price but without an unlimited low speed.

    • +2

Sounds like a question you need to answer yourself :)

    • Id go these guys, much better app and yeah that unlimited data at slow speeds comes in handy

  • We just ordered this (and it arrived) but with $20 per month unlimited half price.

Any way to change it BEFORE it's activated?

  • I have the unlimited plan and coverage in metro WA is very good no struggles at all unlike my previous experience with Optus which would struggle inside a shopping centre. Telstra still the best of the 3 in WA though

I wish there were more cheap plans for stuff like kids watches. Barely need anything, just an hour talk time and 1GB a month is enough, but plans are minimum 15 bucks now for way more than what you need.

    • +1

That Telstra prepaid casual would be perfect if they attached a longer expiry on the add-on packs.

      • +1

I am with a budget one now for my phone because the expensive contracts are unnecessary and it is cheaper to buy phones outright using the JB deals at launch, but I could be suckered into a fatter Telstra contract if it came with 10 buck a month add ons for kids devices that just used your data. It is not like they would be cannibalising their market, nobody puts a kids device on a Telstra contract!

the other benefit is they have a pretty decent global roaming bolt on

    • I have used their $20 addon on 2 separate occasions in the Philippines. On different numbers and on both occasions I could initially make calls but then I couldn't make calls I tried their support and jumped through all the hoops but calls just stopped working. I tried 3 phones so it wasn't the phone that was at fault. It's weird because I could send SMS and use the data but couldn't make calls.

      • It happened with me as well. Probably you would have ran out of minutes. Is mentioned no where but it seems like incoming international call will also count as minutes and will be deducted from international 100mins.

    • Yep, good call, currently using Felix in EU, after using it earlier in the year in China. Working well

  • I tried this recently and had no service when visiting friends in Romsey (in case it helps anyone thinking about trying them that needs service there). I’d try them again in future once they expand their service area though as I do like what they are trying to do…

I'm currently in Felix mobile unlimited data for $20 p/m after the 50% off offer came up around the time I was going to cancel.

  • anyone had any experience with receiving overseas OTP using Felix?

    • +1

Works flawlessly I have used multiple times. Every time I go overseas I port to felix. Get the overseas roaming and pause the subscription. The first time I used it few years ago when I stayed overseas for 6 months. I only paid first month charge and $20 for internationals roaming and pause the plan. In that way I was able to keep my number for free the all OTP plus calling.

      • So you only got roaming one month because you paused it, or it lasted the 6 months?

    • Works without a Roaming pack too.

      • How?

        • +1

You don’t “need” roaming to receive sms - I think but not certain.

New customers only? But I assume a quick port out then back will be fine

  • What is your experience with felix 50GB plan. Planning to get but but unsure who the reception, coverage is around North kellyville Square, North Kellyville, 2155,. Thank you

  • The roaming add on works with a normal sim yeah? (Ie. I don't need an esim device)?

Looks like Green10 doesn't stack with a referral code?

But don't know how the referral works.

Looks like $35, but you still need to pay $25 in the first month, zero in the second, $10 in the third?

    So 3 x $15 = $45 value with Green 10 over 3 months. If you buy a roaming pack, add on $20.

Vs a referral code, which may be better for a quick 1 month of use and a roaming pack. Total cost $25..I think

  • Reception sucks in many places for me, only signed up as stopgap between porting boost.

Probably means anything that is on vodafone continues to be trash for me.

  • Can you only get the 3 month 50% off deal once? Or can you port out then back in to claim it again?

Or, if you want unlimited data for a router or laptop etc, can you get the 50% discount on a new SIM card every 3 months on different numbers?
