Thankfully it’s at $99 then hey

Yep it would be an improvement over tv speakers just don't expect amazing things out of it.

    Factory second.

    • What does that usually mean? Damage or poorer quality?

      • +3

I’d say it’s one of many units where the sub had failed.

  • Quite a few comments on LG site stating known issues with the sub failing and crackle/pop sounds. Being factory second, would be worth looking elsewhere.

    • Seems to be the main point in reviews, not disagreeing with you as I have no experience with this unit.

But found it has 4.4* from 720 reviews

But surely these units have been repaired - it would be hilarious if they're trying to sell broken units with faults for $99.

  • +4

ACC extract for those with concerns: Factory seconds
If a factory second good develops another fault unrelated to the original fault or imperfection responsible for its reduced price, the good may still fail to meet the consumer guarantee of acceptable quality.
Where a factory second good has multiple components, you can expect the component with a minor fault not to last as long as the same component of an identical good that does not have the minor fault or imperfection.
Businesses should be clear to consumers about what fault is responsible for the reduced price on a good so the consumer will know how that fault may affect the reasonable durability of the good.

It cannot be worse than camera and phone makers' factory seconds that sell for 10x of this.

  • Seconds

Hardly normal was selling these at $83 at one point

    • Thanks, that’s a good benchmark to know of
