    Insane price for 5100Wh

  • +12

    $500 drop in 2 months

Inverter in this unit is pretty poor, only outputs the standard 10 amp 2400W for max 2 minutes

Like Chinese EV's, these power stations are in free fall so unless you really need it now, keep waiting

    • +3

AC Input: 600W Max, Solar Input: 1200W Max. Very Slow for 5100Wh Battery.

  • +3

Pro version at this price pls..

  • If you're willing to risk it, Aliexpress have these clone units for barely 30% of the price.

    • +4

Not worth it because it if catches fire, your home insurance is not going to cover you if they can prove that your clone unit does not have RCM.

    • Link for 5.1kw lifepo4 with mppt and 2kw inverter at $750 please

  • looks like a unit i see at the laser place

    Nice!

  • We have a hybrid solar inverter. Question to the technical minded - can these be hooked up to generator in port as home battery?

    • +3

No because the input and output ports are separate. If you want to have something connected as a home battery that both charge and discharge on its own, then you need a unit that has a bi-directional port (the one port needs to be able to both input and output).

Is 2000W the max power output?

    • +4

If only there was a way to search the product specs, video reviews or other details

        So is that a NO?

        • +1

Did you read his specs. Max power output is: peak 4800W
(as long as you only need it for less than 0.5 seconds)

          • -4

@Malik Nasser: That makes no sense. If it’s a 5kw battery it should last an hour.

            • +1

@TomGum: It is the ability of the battery to provide a high wattage surge current, for a tiny amount of time, not in relation to overall capacity

            • +1

@TomGum: You are confusing output (kW) with capacity (kWh).
The capacity of the battery is 5.1kWh, but the rated output is only 2kW. The 4.8kW is the surge output for very short time periods (0.5 seconds).

  • Good discount amount. This model sold out and discontinued on the Bluetti website

  • Fireworks machine

    • +1

You clearly have no clue about the various battery chemistries.

      • Pyrotechnician

  • Could this be charged from solar during the day via powerpoint and used at night eg. run a fridge, charge an EV etc?

    • +1

Newer models have this feature built in. I have the AC200L+B300+B300K. It is a 2400W unit with 7.9kWh capacity which lets me set what time I want to charge, what time to discharge and what time to passthrough AC. It also switches over quick enough that it can operate as a UPS for my home office too.

    • Run a large fridge yes, or charge EV a little bit, not enough power for both.

      • Thanks for the reply.

  • This is going to sound stupid but can this charge an EV

    • Not really.

    • 5.1kWh total capacity, will add maybe (at best) 25-30km range if you use a 'granny' charger plugged into the inverter on it (Assuming it works).

    • +1

Yes, but you need to ground the EP500. Because it is 5.1kWh, you can only use 90% of it, which is 4.5kWh. And when powering a device through the AC inverter, the efficiency is about 80%. So in the end you will only get 3.6kWh put into your car, which at 150 Wh/km is only 24km of range.

  • Will this work as a fridge ups?

  • how long can it power up a fridge? or even a PC?

    • +1

Probably power a decent gaming PC and peripherals for about 8 hours.

  • 76Kg this is a beefy unit

  • Does this work well in a motorhome able to do dc-dv charging whilst driving and able to power say 3 laptops (~600w consumption per hr for 10 hrs per day) + toaster/kettle + ipads/phones + other camping equipment?

    • +2

Devaust: Think of this way… It's the equivelant of having 4 x 12V 100ah Lithium Batteries wired up to an Inverter in your Caravan..

  • What use cases? Usually for outdoor camping/travel?

    • -1

If you have solar, you can powering heater over night or other power hungry appliances with free energy.

  • Anyone actually physically received one of these?
I ordered click and collect and still waiting for store.. They state it's being shipped out to them..
