pretty much a burner obama phone

    • Whats an obama phone?

I was excited for a moment and thought TCL had brought back their QWERTY range.

If you pay $10 more, you can get Motorola Moto G04 (Android 14) phone with 4GB RAM and twice the storage capacity (UFS 2.1). Charging is also faster @ 15w (versus 10w) and slightly better main camera

    Side by side compare

This TCL is also released in Jan 2022, so this is very old stock.

the unisoc t606 is garbage too

again, you probably need to get to a G54 for any reasonable performance

Can it connect to the network?

I hate how this is a valid question.

I had to trash a couple of my Xiaomi's that were working just fine last month. Mine were a few years old, but I've read articles of people having recently bought Xiaomi phones, from local retailers even, that can't connect anymore.

I hate these questions too but my wife has a TCL 20 pro 5G that right now doesnt work with Aldi….

We know the phone has VoLTE and should work.

        • I watched a video on YouTube a while back where this guy says not all carriers implement the same protocols or something for VoLTE. Basically, not all VoLTE's are the same. Try sticking another SIM card in there that's not running off the Telstra network. See if that works.

  • Can anyone get the TD36 code to work?
