  • You probably want to choose one of the deals and put the price in title before the mods smack you down.

  • perfect for taking photos of vampires.

    • But not good for taking picture of Medusa

      • Narcissus does not rate it either!

  • Fuji X-H2.. that's worth

  • My X-T30 plus the 18-55mm F2.8-4 lens was $1300 4 years ago.
I would love to upgrade to the X-T50, but damn, those prices…

    • Me too. Have a XT30mkii but even the on sale price of $1999 is too close to a full blown XT5 when they're on sale.

Also iffy on the left dial now.

  • I'm looking to purchase a beginner-friendly camera for under $500. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know

With that budget just use your phone.

      • Okay i will increase my budget, i have never used cameras for a long time after these phones with cameras, I am a beginner.

Due to the budget constraints, I think it heavily depending on what do you want to shoot and learn using a camera instead of a smart phone.

If you want to take portraits with blurred background, you can think about a manual large aperture lens with a cheaper full frame camera body.

If you want to take landscape and travel photography that is slightly better quality than your phone, get a small point shoot with an 1 inch sensor.

If you just want to practise composition and some basic exposure concepts, juse use your phone and work out if you like it. Then go for a camera that's around $1500 with a lens.

          Second hand.

    • I would suggest looking at either Canon R50 or R100 which are not too far from your budget (under $800 from Amazon). The modern Canon menus are relatively more user friendly than most other brands.
Or consider the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV Silver Body w/14-42mm EZ Lens currently $929 minus $50 cash back.

  • Seems like the X-S20 with kit lens is back to $2,099 now

    • Body only is still at $1,899 though
