@gotyourback Are these codes listed on the website eligible for cashback? Thanks.

    • Doesn't this t&C mean non-eligibility if coupon codes are used?

Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the merchant site including but not limited to student education codes, employee discounts and price-matching.

      • +2

Technically, "price advertised" is what is shown when you browse Lenovo site. In shopping cart they would add coupon (e.g. BFCM24, or PROBFCM24 for Pro store), but that won't be lowering the advertised price - so should be accepted as valid code for cashback.

Having said that, this is Shopback - so @gotyourback please confirm, so we know whether codes advertised on Lenovo site will be tracked, or should we wait for Cashrewards or TopCashback?

      • +2

If you decide to purchase. Screenshot everything.
I'm still in dispute with my PSVR 2 cash back worth $150 back on September 2nd.
The had it in my account then cancelled it.. I'm spewing. I'm just hoping the outcome is that they approve

    • Hey @trixieb @Jef Tino @hippo2s - unfortunately these codes won't be eligible for Cashback as it is not advertised on our (ShopBack) Site

      • @gotyourback Just to clarify, these codes are auto-applied and prices are advertised with the reduced rates and codes. Are they still not eligible for cashback? Thanks.

@gotyourback: Yesterday ebay upsized cashback was advertised as 'no cap' in your promo picture but actually $20 cap was shown in the detailed page just before clicking into ebay.

I really did a preparation before 4pm when it would be started but resulted in a waste of time

Who would want to lose up to 55% Lenovo discount in order to get 20% cashback?
It just doesn't make any sense.
Surely, automatically applied discount codes has be honoured by Shopback.

  • @gotyourback are eligible if do two separate transactions ? Will it be 2 times ? Lately Cashback from ShopBack has been hard they reject without any reason .. past few purchases has been like this. So just want to make to sure i get Cashback or wait for other app

    • Yes, @rahoolz you should be eligible for Cashback if you are making 2 separate transactions and yup it will be tracked in 2 different entry if 2 purchases were made.

However please do return to the ShopBack platform and click through to Lenovo for every new transaction. Make sure the link on our platform is the last link you use to visit the Lenovo website or app.

  • @gotyourback
A few people wanting to buy today.

Why do they make it so grey, difficult to figure out whether it will accept or reject claim. It seems to me that Lenovo usually have so much stock with discount codes that could affect any cashback.

  • +1

    Absolutely need clarification from Shopback.

  • +1

Yeah cancelling my order. Thanks Ozbargain for pointing it out to me hehe. I just don't trust it now.

  • +3

I had my cashback claim rejected last time for an EOFY coupon that had been automatically applied at the checkout.

  • +2

Shopback is helluva dodgy cashback company. Screwed me over the 97% cashback on nordvpn. Even providing screenshots and pdf of invoices.

    • So no cashback at all? I am looking at purchasing Nord at the moment however it's cashrewards offering the 97% so that's making me weary about purchasing.

      • Cashrewards is definitely more reliable. Just to be safe, if you have previous account on nord, use a different email.

  • I just got $350 tracked using westpac card with EARLYACCESS code autopopulated. @gotyourback are you saying they won't be paid out?

    • +2

      Yeah that's what they said.

I just received cancellation confirmation which is lucky. I check next sale.

Could a company inflate its price, advertise a code to have it reduced, then entice people to buy when it's 20% off, then dishonour the code? I thought Lenovo was reputable but this is twice I've almost been burned.

First time was when I was buying an IdeaPad. Grandson wanted OLED wtih 32GB RAM and a graphic card in it. A few days after buying, I noticed it was IPS. Turns out changing from 16 to 32GB RAM changes OLED to IPS and I didn't get informed. Why … why … why change from OLED to IPS if changing RAM size, then not putting something on the screen for oldies like me to understand it.

Lenovo rep said "For custom-build machines, certain specifications are only available paired to certain other specifications, and there is always the opportunity to review the specifications at every stage of the order process" … and to contact their Sales Team to suggest a product.

Gee buying computers is DIFFICULT. Trying to get a desktop too. Will bide my time.

      • I don't know if it's Lenovo or Shopback or both? to blame in this case…

How long did it take for the cancellation request to be approved? I just requested to cancel mine.

        • +2

Auto-applied codes are eligible for cashback, just confirmed with GYB: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15880494/redir

          • @trixieb: WTH, just requested to cancel my order, can I cancel my cancellation? lol

            • @starcub: You can reorder if already cancelled lol

          • +2

@trixieb: oh man . see how shit this company is.. I am not sure how many of already cancelled the orders.. never again

          • +4

@trixieb: It says "should be approved" and not "will be". I prefer a yes or no answer instead of it being grey. Am I paranoid? haha

Took an hour and I got a full refund thankfully

            • @cbau: ShopBack doesn't state in its terms but GYB has confirmed with the team. Wait for Cashrewards or TopCashback upsized cashback as they both state:

Cashback is however eligible on codes generated officially by Lenovo on its website, even though they may not be listed on Cashrewards/TopCashback, provided last click before purchase is from Cashrewards/TopCashback.

              • @trixieb: Thanks, yeah maybe I wait for Cashrewards

                • @cbau: The cashback at Cashrewards could be less without the bank bonus but it's terms are clearer.

@gotyourback, Does the Westpac CB tracks at the same time as the normal one? Received the regular cashback notification hours ago but no sign for Westpac

    • +1

In my experience, no they don't track simultaneously.

    • I also just got the normal cashback, but not the westpac one ….

      • I was about to reply to your deleted comment below. The bank bonuses usually track later. Hopefully soon.

        • Thanks buddy … i just saw someone else posted the same thing here so deleted mine.

  • @gotyourback do I get cashback if buying from the Small business store (Pro for business)? I don't see it is excluded in the post. Thanks

    • The website states this:

Enjoy exclusive pricing on our iconic PCs in the Lenovo Pro store for SMBs
      20% Cashback (21% SB Plus)
      Details
*ABN required to sign up to Lenovo PRO

      • Thanks !

        • Please take a screenshot in case of any issues. All the best :)

  • Took the plunge and bought this Ideapad Pro 5
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/873218

Regular CB tracked 24min after ordering.
    Westpac CB tracked 10min later.

    • After the yoga 2-in-1 but the cashback cap is holding me lol

      • How much is it? I maxed out the CB with the IdeaPad plus some additional upgrades.
