Can we get a large slurpee to get a free large slurpee? Essentially meaning bogof?

    • +22

Not sure but you'll definitely get free diabetes

      • +3

No way man, Those large slurpees only have about 20 tea spoons of sugar.

      • Not true, only a problem if you're overweight.
Unless you got the cool diabetes (type A) then you have to regulate your insulin more closely.

        • type 1 aka Cursed By God

          • @Aldonis: Yes.. no excuse for type 2.

What an underwhelming 7 eleven day.

      • +2

The sugarfree ones aren't too horrific.

      • Lol no risk if you're not obese already.

They got sugar free options, I got the purple one.

        • Purple are great, reminds me of the old slush puppy's.

I remember a few years ago buying a single Freddo Frog on a camp for cheaper than a large slurpee was on 7-Eleven Day. All of my friends thought they wouldn't accept it, but to our surprise they did. Wonder if I could do much the same next week

Chuppa Chup also qualified years ago at 50cents

      • +3

They're only 25c now. I just bought two for fifty cents and also got two free coffees :)

    • +1

Now the hunt is on to find the cheapest item. Tomato sauce minus the pie?

      • Tomato sauce free.
        Free diabetes with the pie.

Petrol prices in Vic are bonkers at the moment.

    • +1

Fuel included or just in-store purchases?

      • +3

The T&Cs says "In store purchases only"

        • +1

Technically you’re paying for your fuel in store so wouldn’t that make it an in store purchase?

          • @CIC7873: Agreed that they could have removed the ambiguity by stating "excluding fuel purchases". On the sum of probability the "In store purchases" implies that there must be purchases that are outside which all I can think of is fuel and ice (raises a question about the ice).

Notwithstanding the intent of the promotion would be to make retail purchases with this an incentive.

          • +1

@CIC7873: I would say that technically an in store purchase is buying something from inside the store. If it included fuel then why not say, 'with any purchase'.

      159.9 for U91

      • +5

Already jumped from 156.9 to 209.9 in a day at all our 7-Elevens. That's a 33.78% price hike.

        • -1

          Altona is still showing 159.9

          • @jv: It’s expected to come down further based on the increased oil production in the US - for some relief

            • -1

@Brainwhacker: It's been that price for over a week now.

              • @jv: Jv, you were asked a question about the number of Tesla fires, could you answer that one with your source please?

    • +1

$1.59 altona. Good places to check are Bell St Preston and Maribyrnong. One of the 3 are always the cheapest in Melbourne.
      Also BP Lara $163.9 currently.

    • How

      • Just ask them to top up your Myki

        • -1

          🤣

          • -1

@jv: Hey, can you top up those stats on how many EV fires there are, since you said they totally exist?

  • -1

Fill ~50c of fuel and get a free coffee last time promotion.

  • Thanks OP

  • +1

    Can I buy a 7-11 gift card?

    • At full price? What is the point? Just top up your tank. (Unless fuel is excluded?)
Edit: i don’t know the answer to your question sorry

      • -1

The point is you get a free coffee or slurpie. Yes, petrol is excluded, unless you purchase your fuel in store.

    • +2

You'll eventually have to buy something.

      • Probably coffee, maybe even petrol?

    • +1

      Cheaper on SB atm

  • How about Opal card reload?

  • +6

Remember the good old days when any container was accepted, so you would get Uni students filling up wheely bins and wading pools..

  • Received e-mail on this- KK 6 pack glazed bites is $3 (down from RRP $5)

    $1 Mentos

Haven't been there in months since the helicopter stopped working

    • +1

Still works for me but helicopter can't fly interstate

      • What's current best methods?

        • +1

I use an old iPad with iOS 16 but check here- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678629

        • Pretty sure ifakelocation on ios still works.
Seems pretty pointless now that they've capped it at 25c and 7/11 is always 40c+ more than my local independent servo

          • @jrjr: "always 40c+ more than my local independent servo"

I find that hard to believe. Which is your local independent servo?

  • Does anyone know what you end up paying for coffee + muffin?

Normally buying a coffee makes the muffin $2.50 instead of $3.50. So normally the total is $4.50.
Wondering if getting a 'free' coffee still makes it a combo?

  • +4

Just paid for fuel and got a free coffee.

    • +2

Nice, did you just ask them if. You can get the coffee for free? Or they told you you can?

      • +2

I was just like "free coffee right?" . The guy didn't say anything. Just added and subtracted the cost on the receipt.

  • Is this once per account or could use multiple times on separate purchases?

  • +1

    7 Eleven coffee sucks

    • +4

I've had worse ones for $5+ at 'real' cafes

      • Me too, that's why I make one at home.

    • It's actually 50x better than 95% of cafes in Melbourne lol it has a lot of milk chocolate notes.
      It's probably unethically sourced though…

  • +1

Asked staff if a 7 11 gift card qualiies they said yes but there were none on the shelf. Brought $1 walnut banana bread instead. Thinking trying another store on the way home. Can anyone confirm if a gift card purchase qualifys? Also if you can use the same 7 11 app account more that once?

  • Bought 25 cents chup chup and a coffee for free. Had to coffee so far which is probably enough for the day

  • +1

Lucky for me there was a zero sugar option… unlucky it was sour pineapple.. which wasn’t actually that bad.

Edit, the 7-11 on St Kilda road, st Kilda making sure everyone had free slurpees, for kids etc. so multiple given away to single purchases

  • But every 7/11 day has been a Slurpee with your own cup?

    What has happened?
