Needed a new wash mitt. This feels like a deal; SCA has it at $29.99 (down to $24 when the 20% kicks in later today) and Repco has it at $30. Bug remover on the back of the mitt is handy also.

Can possibly get it cheaper via Sparesbox on EBay (with a coupon) but YMMV when it comes to delivery and service from there.

Happy washing.

  • Thanks. Dog ate chunks out of my last one so this is a good price to replace it

    • Lol, mine disintegrated. I genuinely thought the dog got to it.

      • It only disintegrate if you don't dry it on a rack straight after wash… had mine for 3 years still looks as good as new!

Perfect if you're a little sheepish.

Would this work for human skin?

    • +2

Yep. Like Madonna, it would also get in to the groove.

    • +6

It rubs the lotion on it's skin

Have this. Would buy again. Very plush

    I see $24.95??

    • Me too

    • +1

Its defaulting to sparesbox as the supplier. Change it to Amazon AU, its still discounted to $18.71

I prefer the noodle microfibre washing mits. When using this one, badges can catch the wool and rip them off.

  • Oh no
    Price back to original…..
    Am late

  • +1

Anyone realise that the wool fibres gets pulled out easy?

    • Not with the short haired ones like the one in this deal.

      Wookies, yes.

    • Nah mine is like 15 years old.

    • As always the real deal is in the comments… but it's sold out now :(

      • +1

I just bought it at $16.84….delivery to WA which sparesbox rarely does
        Often excludes WA

        • Cheers, back in stock.

  • I had this and enjoyed it for a couple of years before it started to look like a shaggy dog with the fibres matting. When I washed it - in woolwash on cold it was never the same.

Been with a lime green microfibre glove thing I picked up for $5 on special at supercheap and its been great for 5 years and 2 cars. Small dust and particles always seemed to get stuck on the wool glove no matter hom careful you were with the 2 bucket thing and shaking it clean regularly which is not a good thing.

But despite that, the 'premium' advertising and 'discount' stuff always sucks me in so I bought one of these anyway. A Christmas present for someone I guess. Thanx for the Sparesbox link moomoosan!

Paid the money for a 'rapid dry towel' (both for washing and drying) and I'm never using a mitt again, they suck. A wash towel makes the whole job so much easier, you can use two hands and just smoosh it everywhere. I estimate it takes half the time, and anything that saves me time washing the car is a bonus. Australian company too (edit - sorry, not Oz but NZL, but they ship from Australia too). I'm not affiliated, I'm just a convert.

    • What product do you recommend?

Iv been looking for a decent drying towel.

      Thanks!

      • Bowden’s Big Green Sucker is what you want. Used by a lot of pro car detailers. https://www.repco.com.au/car-care-panel/car-care-accessories…

      • Not sure if we can post links? Search for 'rapid dry towels', should be the first option.

Thanks both ill look into it!
I have a sorento so ill prob need the largest or even 2.
Sucks its sooo much $$$ overall just to keep a car clean haha

Cleaning with microfiber towels are great. Can fold and flip sides and no need to reintroduce them into the wash bucket. I would recommend putting 8 or so 40x40 or 40x60cm into a wash bucket. But I would not recommend using an unmanageable sized rapid towel for the job. Your "smooshing" is just rubbing dirt and grime into you clear coat which will increase micro marring.

      • Appreciate your comment, but what you're describing doesn't happen for me. Edit - I can see that by being lazy and just putting 'smoosh' I might have made the process sound a lot simpler, but I still do the two bucket method and rinse before starting.

All good. Seen plenty of good things about those rapid towels.

  • I am unable to get any? is it gone?

  • ATM my goto wash mitt. 👍

  • Any pleb apartment dwellers here? How do you wash your cars if you don’t have a wash bay? I’ve lived in one for 5 years and still haven’t solved this riddle. Pleb world problems.

Look at rinseless washes. Lots of options out there. YouTube has plenty of content too. I consider Optimum No Rinseless the pioneer but probably better options out there. Like:
      DIY Detail Rinseless Wash
      P&S Absolute Rinseless Wash
Rinseless washes can also be mixed to water waterless wash concentrations and put into a spray bottle becoming an incredibly versatile product.

      • Ok I had no idea this was a thing, thanks will check it out

      • +1

What else would you use it for except car washing? Windows and stuff?

  • Available again.

  • For those missed out, have wash many cars in the past, yes the lambs wool one is good, but Gtechniq Microfibre Wash Mitt or any microfibre wash mitt are better!!

  • Currently $15.53 with eBay plus code PRES17
