Optus Flex Plus 365 Days Prepaid SIM 280GB for $220 Delivered ($320 Ongoing) + $100 Cashrewards Cashback (Expired) @ Optus

510

eSIM excluded.

Cashrewards is currently offering $100 cashback on the $320 plan Expired, now $26 (16/11)

I am not 100% sure if the Cashback will stack with the $220 deal, but based on the comments from a previous deal it should.
Cashback will likely go down to ~$30 after a few days but not sure exactly when.

$120 for 280GB seems pretty good.

  • I've been trying to port from Boost prepaid to Optus prepaid (this sim) since Monday and still not completed. Never had problem with porting before. I had to recharge Boost for 7 days as my sim expired yesterday. Optus cancelled previous port request to Boost/Telstra and made another request this afternoon. More than 8 hours passed already and nothing again. My Boost sim still working fine, I'm gonna call Optus again tomorrow. All details matched, no wrong name or dob issues here so why isn't it working…

  • I'm trying to live chat with Optus to find out how long we have to activate. Mine expires 23/12 but I'd like to purchase now to make use of the deal. It is a very painful live chat experience that's for sure.

    • I had to give up on live chat as they just didn't understand my query. Lady on the phone said it was just the expiry on the packet.

      • From my experience(but can't guaranteed), Optus does not enforce the expiry on the packet. In other words, you'll have more than printed time to activate it. The person is mostly right as she may not know the exact expiry date.

I did activate some beyond expiry like this. Two months extension is estimated, probably even longer if no expiry.

  • For those who bought, pls inform what's the expiry date printed on this Sim?

      Mine is expiring May-26.

      • Hopefully, we can request the Optus live chat to extend the expiry date beyond that.

  • I got a CR tracked email. Not sure it will be approved or not.

  • I noticed that my Cashrewards activity did not show the $100. I've just submitted a missing claim enquiry for it.

    • Keep us updated. Keen to pull trigger if CB is confirmed as $100

      • I was told by support that the cashback will only be approved if it's the first purchase with Optus.
However the fact that this didn't even get tracked is my issue.

  • Did you guys buy directly from the link provided or through CR?

It's showing 320$ via CR but 220$ on the link for me.

Just don't want to pull the trigger via the link and missing out on the 100$ CR offer.

I've just ordered using the extension. Waiting for tracking and will update.

      • Just got my $100 tracking when I used the extension rather than direct.

      • pulled the trigger. got my cashback tracked

      • I've ordered a few hours ago using the extension as well, but no tracking yet :( hopefully it'll track soon

        • I'd follow up. Should track a bit sooner.

  • Both this deal and the $15 sim for first 3-months seem to be for new customers only. Has anyone currently on Optus found a workaround?

    • Yes switch to another provider then switch back as a new customer.

  • Just checked cashback is down to $26 now

How soon do you guys intend to activate?
