Just found this as much as I despise Bunnings. Better than the usual $10+ for similar cables.

    Why do you dislike Bunnings?

      I want to know too

      Onions underneath sausages.

      Monopoly

      • +5

Weirdly, I've noticed there's people who moan about the Colesworth duopoly but don't seem to have an issue with Bunnings' monopoly

        • +2

A monopoly is worse than a duopoly which is worse than a triopoly which is worse than a …

Unless the power is used for good instead of evil.

But a duopoly is twice the goodness…

            • +2

@jv: It also depends on who's definition of good and evil you subscribe to.

          • +2

@bio: Why is there ONLY ONE Monopolies Commission?

        • The same ones that shit-canned Masters.

      • +3

        I'm more of a D&D guy

Well for me it's because of the awful BBQ smell that lingers in the carpark whenever I go there. So off-putting.

    • +11

Overpriced junk and otherwise doggy business model. Thank goodness for ALDI keeping Bunnings on their toes.

      • +6

Glad that there's other Bunnings haters out there. So much of what they sell is crap, and the customer service is usually woeful. A small hardware store and a decent nursery is much better.

  • how much is rrp at bunnings ?

    • -1

      $3

      • -1

        Everyday price is not bargain

        • The usual excuse by people is "but it's a limited time deal".

    • I went to Bunnings Ashfield last Saturday, saw one damaged box in a clearance shelf for $3, and took it. On the non-clearance shelf, there were plenty, $11 each.

  • -2

    Any male to female ?

    • No, but these male-male cables will still need to be plugged into a female device port to ever be functional or useful.

      • -2

Yes, but you will need to insert the male to male cable into two female ports.

        • +9

Ah yes, I think I've seen a few of these videos.

      • +3

I'm cancelling you for your homophobic comments!

        • +8

I'm so sick of USB engineers implementing their bigotry and phobias into their port designs.

Pair it with your Bunnings 45w brick

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/871769

Pretty good charging setup for under $15

  • I need to get one of these to replace one that broke in the office yesterday. For some reason I don't think a $3 is going to last as long but OfficeWorks prices seem to start at $55 which also seems insane (edit: wait, I see there are more options in OfficeWorks that didn't show on first load for some reason, phew)

Is there a recommended goto? I typically buy Anker from Amazon for myself but if I can just go buy one at retail somewhere today that would be great.

    I despise Bunnings

    Upvoted. (profanity) Bunnings.

  • Anybody know how many watts this can take?

    • +6

      Two.

      • What, only $3?
      • What the fu$&? It's broken already.
    • +1

      Likely 60W if not specified.

  • +4

You should try shopping at Hammerbarn instead, big range and very dog friendly

  • The only review claims it doesn't do data and only charges despite saying it's a data cable.

    • It will likely do data at USB2 speeds. Most people don't consider this to be practical.

  • +6

Why would you recommend a USB-C cable without knowing the power rating it can carry?

    • +1

Why would you upvote a deal on a USB-C cable without knowing the power rating it can carry?

    • +2

      It's C to C so it'll either be 60W or 100W. 240W unlikely.

  • +2

If I upvote this deal will it make the OP happy or unhappy? I'm confused.

    • just abstain

  • I hate bunnings too but there is no alternative, got me by the balls… also hate ryobi

    • +1

I live near Mitre 10, Thrifty-Link, Sydney Tools, Total Tools. Maybe I'm just lucky?

  • OOS? The link doesn't load up for me at all, goes to a 404 page now.

    • +1

What happens if you use this link? This was the link used in the original version of this deal, and I can see the page.

  • Yes I would like some competition for Bunnings but some of the rude pricing at the other large-ish blue colour chain pisses me off too.

  • +3

If you thought craftright was dodgy quality then you'll really hate click products, brought a couple different and buy again. They can break just taking them out of the packaging

    • +1

Yep the ones I have bought were "cheap"
and not in a good way…

  • +1

Im down here at Masters Home Improvement carpark.
    Something is not right…

as much as I despise Bunnings

I took 10 and only scanned 1 at the checkout.

    You're welcome

  • I hate bunnings cause they sell fault LED bulbs

  • +1

They couldnt find the $3 item so gave me the exact same $11.95 ones. The ones tnat come in different colours.
    So pretty happy with that.

  • My local had them at the clearance bin near the checkouts. They had a whole variety of cables & chargers. All $3 each.

    I ended up with
    - C to C
    - C to lightening
    - A & C (30w) charger

Now I just gotta find a reason to use them …. Lol

  • They have restocked at some stores. Also, price @ $2.85 with Bunnings Trade account.

  • $9.98 now
