Hi all,

Starting another event for the QLDers OZB in Brisbane CBD to cater people missing out on other QLD meetups.
Come and celebrate OzBargain's 18th birthday in Hanwoori - AYCE Korean food

You can attend at most two events that you are not organising. We did have that clause last year but we still have quite a few people attending 5+ events, so we will be putting a hard cap this year, i.e. you won't even be able to click on "Yes I am attending" if you are already registered for 2 events.

OzBargain meetups are strictly users only this year. In the past there were some leniency for partners, children or other family members that don't have OzBargain accounts. However for this year we decided that one must have an OzBargain account to be part of the meetup.

We won't allow "new accounts" from participating in meetups either. In the last couple of years we had accounts created just to have free meals at OzBargain meetups, and then never logged in again.

    So many options in Brisbane this year!! Previous years were at most 2.

    But you won't even be able to click on "Yes I am attending" if you are already registered for 2 events.

    Had Registered late for Sunnybank Lunch (#22 on waiting list for 30max), had confirmed & paid deposit for Underwood Dinner (with friends made from previous Ozbargain events)…

    Had expressed interest in larger West End event (35min) (attended quop's 2012 event!).

    Just received System message that I was removed from West End proposed event for "over attending" when West End event was confirmed.
    So canceled Sunnybank wait list.

    Then saw this event!
    Would love KBBQ😋
    I'm in!

      West End event was never confirmed by the organiser quop.

      Mods have been asked to close Registration & put it back to asking for interest.

    I actually had thought of Hanwoori but figured it was over the $45 cap (even the FULL lunch is $55 now on weekends!). Keen for the weekday full buffet.

    Works just booked an important meeting from 10am - 2pm.

    I've had to say I have a MORE important meeting from 1130, so you'll only have me for an hour and a half!

    I have received T-shirts now, thanks for that @scotty !

    For those of you who attended Hanwoori event, i will organise a T-shirt pick up session on :

    Tuesday , 3 Dec 2024 at 11.25 am-11.55 am ( 30 mins session)
    @ Brisbane Square Library (266 George St, Brisbane City QLD 4000)

    So please ignore what I said about picking up in Sunnybank event earlier and instead look at pick up session on 3 Dec 2024.
    T-SHIRT size availability may vary according to availability

    For those of you living quite a distance away, i can help posting the T-shirt if you cover the postage of small prepaid satchel of 11 dollars - please DM me for that

      Weekday CBD location should better suit those who attended & work in city. Suits me.

      But availability of some sizes has been an issue in previous years. (I helped organisers.)

      As it will be first in, some sizes may become low after earlier Sunnybank meet…

    L : 5

    That i will bring tomorrow 3 Dec at 11.25 am - 11.55 am at brisbane square library.

    If i have contacted you via DM, it means i have reserved Tshirt for you.

    There are few people asking for XL can also try checking out the L shirt because this year’s L shirt might fit in XL

      Thanks. Lack of sizes is usual.

      Have t-shirts from 3 previous years.
      Before that, Brisbane missed out on Ozbargain t-shirts.

      Enjoy collecting the different designs. (They're rarely worn.)

      What's this year's design?
      Not near CBD. So that's what might make me take a trip to try a L.

      Found the Gildan L were a bit too small to be comfortable for me, so my others are XL.
