    OOS already ?

    • Showing minimum 30 in stock for each colour

      • Weird it says the event is not available at this moment since the first seconds it was posted

  • +9

Waiting for $20 Matrix banana phone, coolest phone ever.

    • The remake was utter garbage. I've bought several of the HMD Nokias (including this one), and it sucked. KaiOS was super intriguing but it was executed so poorly on that phone. Everything took so long to load, the battery was drained as a result so quickly too, and while this one is probably an individual issue, every 5th or 6th button press would double click, meaning if I wanted F and hit 3 thrice, I'd do that, but it would register four hits and then cycle back to D, it sucked ass.

Fun to slide the thing though.

Oooft you'll wait but you probably won't buy after reading it.

Why did I just buy that? Anyway, $20, why not.

  • +4

    $28 last month, $20 now,
will be $12 on black Friday, and $4 on boxing day.
I am happy to wait. lol

Get it for $15. Change mind now. Can I get the order cancelled? I already send message to the seller (can't cancel right away on Catch.com)

    • why did you change your mind?

      • +1

        Impulsive buying 🥹

      • +1

Rarely have use cases. I was thinking of using it as a 4G dongle, but it turns out it doesn't have a Wi-Fi module

    • If you live in Perth I'll buy it off you

  • Any suggestions for the cheapest mobile plan for kids? I just want talk and txt.

    • +2

Dodo axed their $5/$10 plan recently which is a bugger.

Depending on how much talk and text I'd say just buy a year long Amaysim when they go on sale for 60 odd, works out to $5 a month anyway and you get 60gb internet on top of it (which you can obviously block if you didn't want them to have the net)

      • 60 odd, works out to $5 a month anyway and you get 60gb

no longer available. Their cheapest plan is $240.

        • +1

Holy shit, that's a bit of a markup! Guess I'll keep my eye out for a good deal, me and the missus renewed our's a couple months back but I ain't stepping up to 240.

          • +3

@TheDukeOfNukem: The 60 is still there you just have to change to it you can’t sign up straight tonit

    • You must be new here. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/prepaid-mobile-plan
Coles, Kogan 365 flex, Catch, Cashrewards with boost. The world is your oyster.

      • +1

Good luck with Catchconnect - their customer service is 0/10.

    • +6

Amaysim $10 for the whole year. Pay as you go. Otherwise if you want unlimited calls and text, better off taking the year long ones from catch, kogan or lebara which were posted recently

      • Amaysim $10 for the whole year. Pay as you go

That can get very expensive if you make a few calls/SMS per day…

They also do $60 per year unlimited calls/text….

    • +3

Any suggestions for the cheapest mobile plan for kids?

Amaysim $60 per year unlimited calls and text. No data…

    • +1

Amaysim has an unlimited talk and text only plan, no data for $60/365 days

No camera on this one as an fyi. The other phone had one

    • Better screen on this one though

    • I got the other one, but wished I got this one instead.

  • Hi just ordered one but it's going to wrong address how do I change it.

    • +14

If you can't change the world, change yourself.
just move to that address and live there. lol

      • No thanks a bad man lives there maybe in jail by now though.

  • Any budget cheapest mobile support whatsapp?

    • +9

      why do I smell crime……

      • What's wrong with whatsap?

  • +1

This deal has lots of positive votes…

    So it must be good.

If it was a bad deal, surely there wouldn't be so many positive votes, in the space of thirty mins….

    Lol

    • I have no idea why I got one. Will most likely sit in my laptop bag just in case I ever need a phone when traveling

  • I need a phone like this with no camera that i can use just for playing music/radio (internal storage or sd card to store at least 8-16gb of music) and using for calls. Is this the best deal for that? Any alternatives to look out for?

  • Code SAVE50 invalid?

    • Worked for me 5 minutes ago

  • +3

Genuinely interested why people would want this phone in 2024
For kids? or are you trying to detox from social media/screens?

    • +3

Kids - no distracting apps, no camera, doesn't matter if it gets banged up or misplaced if it's their first and cheeeeap.

      • -2

How is "no camera" of any benefit to kids?

        • +1

So they won't waste their time on IG and Tiktok just to please their dumb peers.
Instead they may spend their time on learning how to hunt for bargains and follow posting rules on smart OZB.

          • @AsukaST: Who said anything about smart phones? I meant a camera on a dumb phone like a cheap Nokia.

Like I said, there's nothing wrong with kids having a camera.

      • Will kids actually bother to use it and charge it

    • +1

      Burner phone

    • +1

      To impress the girls

    • +1

Can't use a smart phone in some environments due to security concerns. Not my decision.

    • Phone of shame for the partner when she breaks her's

    • +3

Yeah for kids as their [P] plater phone.
I got the Nokia 110 from an earlier deal. Added that Catch Connect 1 year plan for like $100 and he loves it. Driving the family nuts though as he calls them just to talk, because… he can. Overall it will be great for emergencies or just having another contact point in the home when mum isn't picking up.
If he ever gets kidnapped, hopefully he can contact me with it so I can put my unique set of skills to work…

  • +1

    Nice, "Removable Battery"

Tempted to get one for reminiscing the good old days.

    • Every phone's battery is removable with a hammer.

  • +1

Ah, this one has USB-C! Can I cancel the 110 order and buy this one instead? :(

  • +4

might not be usable when they get rid of 3g… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPlTz-3estM

    • -1

Yes, from what I can google it uses 3g for calls and 4g for internet, with no wifi your screwed when 3g is turned off shortly.

Might be a waste of $20!

      • 3g for calls? Where does it say that?

  • +1

No camera and no wifi. I've got three spare smartphones in my drawers and yet I still ordered one.

    • +3

Same boat. We have a problem. First stage is admitting it…

  • Can I receive calls from John Pork on this phone?

  • Shows $35 now - the other colour comes down to $20 and I ordered lol

  • +1

    Showing $35.62

  • Just worked for me. Description says Volte supported. for an older senior who doesn't have wifi anyway so should be ideal. Now shows out of stock? Wait and see if I get it

  • Peach also i can't see

  • +1

Just ordered one. Don't know why though.

    • +3

      Username checks out.

      • once per account

        • +1

          No it's expired that code

  • +1

I brought one for my kids, it's good that it doesn't have social media and it's a good history lesson as well.

  • I'm getting "Coupon usage limit has been reached." when I try to apply the coupon.

    • +1

      Yeah. Coupon is expired 🥲

  • +1

Anyone received theirs yet? Got my tracking number last Friday but AusPost hasn’t scanned it yet

    • Nope and when I go into Catch orders it says I only ordered it yesterday?? Dodgy

    • Hi there, any issues with delivery please reach out to our support team via Catch, we will help you out!
      Thank you,
      Travis

    • Yeah my latest tracking said it was scheduled to pick up on 25/10. No updates since then.

The other order of the Nokia 110 4G, ordered the same day, was delivered shortly in just a few days.

    • If i go into order on Catch website and then "Track Parcel" it says "Parcel pickup attempted but we were unable to collect it" on 28/10."

If I track on Sendle website, it says "Parcel has been scheduled for pickup.
      Pickup Scheduled
      Friday, 25 Oct 2024"

      • Yeah same for me as well.
