I used this code last year and tried it again to purchase the same product for my friend, and it's still working! I hope everyone gets to use it before they notice.

That seems not an official website, so should check the warranty or service.
Are these rice cookers good? I've been looking at buying a rice cooker recently
I just use instant pot. Real stainless steel pot, without the non stick coating.
This cuckoo can't decided if it's stainless steel or aluminum?? Confusing product description..
the pot is always aluminium at least on every rice cooker I have ever used. haven’t you realised how light it is when it’s empty and you take it out?
I have two rice cookers, both stainless steel - but were purchased in Asia
One brand is Khind, not sure what the other is.@bohn: "Why are Australian rice cookers so un-Khind?" :(
PREMIUM QUALITY : Includes a stainless steel X-Wall inner pot with premium nonstick marble coating that is designed for optimal heat distribution, is scratch-resistant, built to last and easy to clean.
So, this CUCKOO is not stainless steel..!?
@armageddeus: I checked with their CS, CUCKOO has 2 layers of aluminum-stainless inside and non-stick coating outside.
@everest2410: The new alloy. Aluminum-Stainless. The inception alloy.
@OzzyBrak: Unobtainium or nothing.
@everest2410: Non-stick coating outside? As in, not in contact with the food?
Why?
@Wolfenstein98k: Oh, i mean the inside where the contact with the food.
so, aluminum-stainless-coating-food. Hope that makes sense :)
…haven’t you realised how light it is when it’s empty and you take it out
I'm not arguing that all the pots you've used are light, but I can assure you that not all inner pots are lightweight.
I've come across many multi-layer pots that are quite heavy, even when empty. I remember seeing a 10-layer model in Japan and thinking, "Wow, this could break your bones if it dropped on your foot."

ok I was just comparing my rice cooker pot weight to a regular steel stove pot of the same size.
induction rice cookers need stainless steel
rice cookers usually have aluminium for optimal heat transfer as well as weight - because weight is how they can tell the water has been absorbed by the rice grains (then evaporated off!)
induction rice cookers need stainless steel
Induction means electric heat right? well mines electric. maybe I’m wrong then but it definitely feels very light.
it made sense to me as well because once you wash the rice and add the water it’s pretty heavy, so helps if the pot is lightweight aluminium.
@harshbdmmaster718: induction - inducing heat via magnetic field, hence the need for steel (which is ferrous and thus can have heat induced in it via magnetic fields) vs aluminium
your light-feeling one would be aluminium. Check it with a magnet, if it sticks to the pot then it's steel, if not then it's aluminium
@bdl: I had to find a magnet first, then I remembered there is a strong one in the end of my Osram torch!
yep it’s aluminium. I think new expensive rice cookers must work differently. because the old zojirushi I use had aluminium pot, and the round metal thing inside at the bottom of the cooker is probably the steel induction?
I mean maybe not very fancy but it works fine. to people that are fussy about it (and say stuff like they end up with slight colour on the bottom) I would say you are probably not using it correctly, or the rice cooker is very very old (maybe like 20+ years) but I have heard replacing the pot can fix it.
@harshbdmmaster718: yeah the zojirushi's have a heating element at the base - and at least the one I know of (that a family member has) has an aluminium pot.
I actually use an old National one with an aluminium pot (another family member was throwing it out probably 15-20 years ago), and it's still working fine - I do dream of a new one one day though lol.
I found the cheapy $20 kmart/target ones (with separate glass lid) tend to spatter the water everywhere, the ones with a built in/self contained lid work best. I also used to have a Sunbeam one and the Asian-branded ones cook better than it every did.
Your brand preference can be guided by what tune they play after the rice is cooked :)

yeah I think the zojirushi I have might be almost that old also. I didn’t buy it but think it didn’t cost the buyer more than $50. meanwhile I looked up zojirushi’s now and there are only $250~$300 ones that look like this Korean one with displayed info and fancy tech.
the one I have btw has what looks like cheap glossy plastic all over including the feet, but it just won’t break (I’m not exactly careful with it either, sometimes dropping it a small distance when losing grip and putting it back in the cupboard). amazing even the hinge is at least plastic on the outside but not a single crack. it’s so old it’s also beige in colour when it was probably white brand new.
they don’t make invincible plastic like this anymore do they? too much money to be made with poor quality plastic. I have had plenty of modern plastic devices which have cracked or shattered just by looking at it wrong.
@harshbdmmaster718: We're going to need pics at this point.
I have a cheaper cuckoo model and I love it. Rice always comes out perfect and it's super easy to clean. It's miles better than my last sunbeam rice cooker
normally $500 rice cooker??
at this kind of price I expect it to complement me in Korean (it’s a Korean brand), wash and cook my rice, and wash itself. 😃
other wise.. oooh shiny!
Voice Guide Function : Korean, Chinese, English
Maybe it does?
After a few years the internal battery dies and the only language it speaks is Korean (unless you set another language and keep the rice cooker plugged in 24/7).
I was going to pull the trigger. BUT 300 bucks rice cooker without IH Heating I just can't justify.
IH?
Inflamed Hemorrhoids
Induction Heated maybe.
Edit: IH
SMART TECH : Induction heating completely surrounds the inner pot making the cooking process quick (white rice in as little as 20 minutes!)
HP
heating plate pressure technology is specially designed to cook exceptionally delicious rice with improved cooking times.
$50 for delivery? Ouch.
This will probably trigger every asian on here, but i cant go past my $25 Kmart rice cooker. Gets my jasmine rice ready within 15 mins and hasnt skipped a beat for 3 years hahaha
Will this rice cooker enlighten me?some people also like nescafe blend 43 coffee.
Enjoy.
Ouch. As crunchy as the Kmart rice.
Doubt it. If you're happy with the quality of your rice cooker and don't eat rice that often you wouldn't be missing out on much. This does so a much better job though, makes less of a mess with over flow, and keep warm is amazing.
I paid $120 ebay sale.
Sure that wasn't the 3 cup version? Looks the same.
My bad, it was this one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/154704228285
6 cups but not pressure cook.Yeah that one's $139.99 at Costco, in case anyone interested.
