This rice cooker has a stainless steel inner pot and steamer basket. It is an option if you wish to avoid using non-stick coated pots as mentioned in the Costco Cuckoo post.

For the best result, leave the lid closed and the cooker switched off for an additional 10-15 minutes after cooking is completed - this helps greatly to avoid sticking.

8 cup rice cooker is available and with code THANKYOU5 for $284.05. Unfortunately 10 cup rice cooker is sold out.

    • +1

P.S. The 8 cup rice cooker isn't discounted (apart from using the 5% off code) so is probably not worth buying currently.

Mine is still being used regularly since buying it in 2021 /thumbs up.

Its just so easy to clean as well with the one click removable inner lid - they should include this in their marketing!

      Fuiyoh!

  • Price looks good, stainless steel looks good too, can anyone vouch for the quality of the rice, vs a $20 kmart one ?

    • +2

Uncle approved on this one - Fuiyoh!!

Been using this one for a couple of months now. Strong recommend. Rice just as good as the Teflon one we replaced. Super easy to use and clean.

I have a Buffalo stainless steel rice cooker - 100% happy with it.
Makes perfect rice and no PFAS or PFTE due to the stainless steel rice bowl.
    Love it.

have this 6 cup as well … with the strainer it's actually only 3 cups … overall been using it for 4 weeks, very happy. tried porridge mode with preset. the only weird thing is "66" LED status when ready …

I think it's meant to be happy anime eyes

  • Am I reading the manual correctly, that this takes up to 50 minutes to cook standard white rice?

    • +3

60 minutes is about the standard for most good rice cookers, some have a quick mode that's 40 minutes, but it's noticeably different

    • I have the 10 cup and use the steam mode for rice which takes about 20 minutes when in a hurry. Tastes fine to me

  • does it beep loudly when finished? I had an old kmart type that just died. I liked the fact that when sitting at the table I could see from the indicator light on the side when it was finished rather than have to get up and look at the top every 5 min.
