  • At least $50 too expensive.

    • Compared to what other similar year long prepaid Optus network SIM? This is the cheapest this plan has been.

      • Yep-This is 21 dollars lower than I have seen from Optus even direct.

Amaysim does have some good deals but no Optus sport/5G etc…

        EDIT:
Have updated the expiry end date- forgot to take a pic of price tag with end date originally 🙃

    • Yeah I am planning on getting this cause of optus sport but even then my current plan only ends in December. I feel I should hand in my ozb membership

      • You have till the expiry date printed on sim package or 12 months( normally) to activate.

  • Do any of the Optus resellers offer 5g, or do Optus hold it back for themselves? Seems like an ok deals tbh…

        Thank you!

    • I don't even turn on my kogan 5G. It tank's the battery life on my Pixel 8 Pro. I don't notice it any slower on 4G.

      • Same phone but I'm with Telstra and have never NOT used 5g…. Haven't noticed bad battery life tbh..

      • Have 5G enabled by default on Pixel 8 Pro - haven't seen it affect battery life. Maybe it's just your device…

  • can this be converted to eSim or used to renew existing prepaid service?

    • @jonno82
eSIM is available according to the prepaid link to this plan.

Only used Amaysim [ Optus] reseller eSim and that was easy.

Have read on Whirlpool used to be a less than smooth path. ( may have changed)

  • Whats the cost for Optus Sports with this?

    • Optus Sport is $12 (addon) every 28 days.

Thanks and can I port my existing (optus) no on this?

        • -1

Need to port away if you are with Optus already ( to Telstra/Vodafone or their resellers)
You could try chatting to Optus suspect they will say sorry no.

        • Only if you are on a plan not prepaid.
So not classed as a " port" technically

          Otherwise no-one would ever recharge
They would just buy a cheaper new prepaid sim.

          • @snappy1234: I am with Optus on a monthly Plan, it was from the 50% discounted plan from the deal that was on ozbargain last year. Figured I needed optus sport so why not.
Now I'm paying $52 discounted $3 to $49 LOL. So I don't think it's prepaid? should be able to port right

@RichDad PoorSon: Not sure if Optus will match Woolworths price for an annual sim.
You may need to " chat" with them
              :)

  • No Unlimited Data Weekends with this one right?

    • 28 day plans only ( weekend unlimited data)

  • Optus or Boost mobile? Thanks

    • +1

      Why not both :)
Get an annual plan and a backup monthly or annual plan on a different network
( unless money is super tight)

      Need a dual sim phone.
      imho

        Good Idea!

        But I don't need 2 sims.

        Thanks
