These are on-demand courses not books. Looks like good value.

I'll probably get this as I'll be making the switch to linux. Windows changing to be active spyware in addition to bloatware garbage has stirred me from my indifference.

Windoze is the perfect malware, with half-finished features no one asked for, plenty spying and advert bundled.

Check out distrowatch to get started

Not sure how much I'll actually watch but it does seem like a great deal.

I went ahead and bought this. As someone on Reddit was saying you can have "permanent access" to the material as you can download the videos. I'm downloading them as I am typing this. Wish the zip files had better names. They are just the ISBNs.

wouldnt it be better to just start using linux and if you run into any issues just google it?

    • You can, but the first 2-3 results teasing the answer behind the paywall.

Umm it's not 2007 anymore with Experts Exchange.

        https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/

type in any questions u have and u can get your answers
if u have any more questions

        https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Main_page
^ the arch wiki has most things covered although theres a difference in how arch and deb operates but its very similar and u can still work your way around it.

linux is open sourced because people do not want to pay big corporations to steal our data so if u ended up paying big corporation for information its just not the linux user spirit imo

also if you do come across some very niche issue specifically for your machine i doubt that the bundle is gonna help u if googling cant help

        • I do run linux for a few years, and google the things I need to do,
hackthebox and https://sadservers.com/ are really great ways to do what you are describing.
but i though I might structure a bit my learning now and hopefully discover some hidden concepts and other quirks that might be required at interviews/potential work.
I finally pulled the trigger and got the course, I like that it is a video format, rather than a book. will see how it goes.

    man pages are free.

You didn't learn everything from manpages, so these may be useful for some.
