Brilliant Grace 132cm DC Ceiling Fan with Remote & LED Light $148 (Was $159) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store/ OnePass) @ Bunnings

220

Once again Bunnings has done what they do best and blown me away by coming to the party to price beat Aldi’s equivalent/direct/current product a DC fan which was featured in a recent popular post by NoCure. This time slashing (with a fan blade) the price by $1 and while it’s certainly not 10%, I am certainly a fan…

Many fellow OzBargainers had reported light flickering issues in the past Aldi model but based on the overly positive reviews (4.7*) the Bunnings version seems to cure (yes there is a cure) this issue and comes with the perk of superior warranty. It is simply that brilliant!

So tomorrow morning rotate your plans and get down to your local Bunnings and not Aldi as their product doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as remotely cool.

Even the install sounds like it is a breeze (for your local certified electrician)

Have a fan-tastic day!

Thanks. There were 5 before me

      • Number 5 was pretty catchy I will say

        • You can catch more from six. Source: trust me

  • My fishing rods don't like Ceiling Fans.

Sounds like the fans catch more than you do

Also better warranty on this one, 6 Year Warranty, including 3 year in-home warranty on the motor compared to 3 year warranty on the Aldi one.

    • +1

Yeah I guess you could say the Aldi deal is pretty dim in comparison

Seems they've pulled it from WA… Get 404 error unless I go incognito and hide location
Edit: Stock checker indicates no stock in WA

Sounds like you need to request Fred Again at the Perth Bunnings Rave 🎶turn on the lights 🎶

  • Let's just say it wasn't installed by a licenced electrician… does that have any effect on the warranty?

  • Sad when the remote control is better designed than the fan.

    Is the led light replaceable?

    • Nope, its an array of LEDs mounted to the inner of the unit. You could buy a new array of LEDs and solder them in if you wanted to, but I wouldn't say these ones fall under 'replaceable' in the general sense.

Does anyone know if it can it be controlled via wifi?

  • Got one of these fitted the other day and it is an excellent unit so far. Only complaints would be that the light seems to flicker like a candle on the absolute lowest brightness and the remote is also something that could easily be lost and I assume, hard to replace. Need something like a Flipper Zero that can back up the IR codes for each input of remotes around the house so that you aren't stuck when the remotes disappear.

    • How much is the amount of air and noise pushed by the fan when on the lowest setting? Would it be annoying if sleeping under it?

      • +2

It actually has a sleep button where it turns off the light and sets the fan to 1 for sleeping and on the lowest setting, you would be hard pressed hearing it. Still pushes a comfortable amount of air at that point too, I have slept with it both on 1 and on 3 (6 is max) and both were quite comfortable.

  • I'm a fan.

Free delivery with OnePass up to two fans. Bought 3, 2 in one order, and one separate order.

I’m planning to replace my fans with these. Currently they have the wall switches and don’t have remote controls. Can i buy these and replace my old ones? I’m not planning to use them RCs

Your wall switch units are most likely taking 240v AC power and using the wall switch controller to regulate that AC power that is outputted to the fan, whereas these DC units convert the 240v AC power to DC up in the actual fan unit on the ceiling, so your wall switches won't work on these. The remotes come with a little housing that can be mounted on the wall by your current wall switch and the remote then pretty much becomes a wall switch by that point.

      • Very helpful. Thanks!
