Will this 6900HX perform better in gaming than 7735HS? The concern is they stick the power inside the box, will there be heating issue in the long run?
It doesn't have a temperature problem because it has a lower power draw than an equivalent mini PC with an external power supply, so performance is reduced.
24GB. Weird amount of RAM. How’s dual channel work there?
Yea it is. I guessing it's 16 + 8gb?
12GB SODIMMs do exist with DDR5.
It's 2 x 12GB. Just an annoying cost cutting measure.
I wonder if it can play new games
no a bad deal, but I have seen these 6900hx boxes go for around $500
Where was that? I might get one!
I have seen them go as low as 520$

Again bet Black Friday sale will have these go below $500, just wait and see …
@kaikor: will hold you to that. Have been eyeing off mini pc's to turn into a minecraft server around the $400-$500 and black friday is perfect timing for me to get one
maybe a better deal newer CPU, around max 5% slower and uses less power - https://www.amazon.com.au/Beelink-Processor-Virtually-Next-G…
ok. cheers.
Same model, same 6900HX, same 24GB RAM, but with 512GB SSD @ $559.30

Is Windows included? Is it a concern with built-in PSU?
Uhh what's the correlation between the two
Here's a good review of it - https://youtu.be/VTTbkhjztzM
Apparently this is a strange one because you can't increase the Watts, so it suffers…
And what's with the built-in PSU?
Would these be sufficient to play CSS & older games? I just want a cheap rig for that & the sort of offbeat/indie games like what TmarTn2 plays.
I think just about any machine within the last decade can play cs source
If anything this would be overkill if you're playing games that old 😆
Hehe fair point, I'm just looking for something that will keep up for a while with lower end games & the older ones I still enjoy from 15 years ago
Would suggest going for a cheap refurb Optiplex and slapping in a second hand GPU, will come out cheaper and perform the same if not better.
Though if you don't want to bother and want something as SFF as this then by all means, this Beelink will smash through all older titles and some newer ones too. Lots of benchmark videos on YT of this specific APU which'll give you a good idea of performance.
@CrispyChrispy: Rad, thanks mate.
Might as well pay $28 more with coupon and get this with 32gb ram and 2 year warranty.
https://www.amazon.com.au/BOSGAME-P3-Desktop-Computers-Windo…I'd probably rather save the $28 and get a Beelink
I would go for the BOSGAME P3 instead.
The BOSGAME P3 has USB 4, faster USB A ports (3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 vs 3x USB 3.0) and faster dual 2.5GbE ports.
Although the Beelink are meant to have good quality control, I'd prefer a mini PC without the built-in PSU. Just another thing that could go wrong and easier to replace the external brick/charger.
I've compared these models before, my notes below:
Item USB C USB 4? USB A Processor Max TDP RAM RAM type Storage WiFi WiFi type Ethernet BOSGAME P3 Yes Yes 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Ryzen 9 6900HX 45 W 32 DDR5-4800 1024 Yes 6E/AX Dual 2.5G Beelink EQR6 Yes No 3x USB 3.0 Ryzen 9 6900HX 45 W 24 DDR5-4800 1024 Yes 6/AX Dual 1G edit: added link
Calling this a gaming PC rather than just a mini PC is an interesting approach, however I can really appreciate the transparency of them showing the cinebench and 3D mark scores in the listing. This should be a standard practice for all "gaming PC" sales.
