any issues with creating a new menulog account? I can't see how they can track it.
But in the past Shopback always deny Menulog orders even though it tracks fine.

  • New to all this - How exactly do they track new Menulog customers, would it be based off if this is the first Menulog transaction via Shopback, or if its a freshly created Menulog account with no previous orders

    • Also interested in this - can I just put a guest order through?

Generous %. Enough to use that garbage Menulog app? Probably not.

Couldn't pay me to use menulog.
Not enough drivers, and shit support.

    • +2

I don't have Menulog but DoorDash support is shit too. Don't know who is worse.

      • Definately menulog, a store was "open" on menulog, but physically shut.
The order was accepted, sat pending, updates came through like driver assigned, picking up order, searching for driver, etc
This went on for about 3 hours, support didn't want to cancel the order…
        Was really quite silly.
Uber/Doordash has higher saturation (drivers and stores), more refined processes and better support in my view.
        But once bitten, twice shy!

        • Thanks for the feedback. That's shocking. Menulog seems to be the worst then. Uber Eats has more restaurants that I would use than DoorDash.

          Would probably rate:
Uber Eats > DoorDash > Menulog

          • @trixieb: I'd tend to agree with you on those rankings.

I do compare delivery fees across uber eats and doordash, sometimes doordash is better because the delviery fee will be lower.
But most of the time it's similar cost wise.

        • Similar thing with a cafe where I ordered free coffee from Doordash. Order came through and I came to pickup, but the staff then just checked the order and started making coffee. Another cafe had prepared the order and confirmed on time even though I was a bit late to pickup.

Maybe possible if we order food from Doordash and the staff hasn't noticed about incoming orders from Doordash. Maybe that's why certain stores disable Doordash orders during busy lunch time for example.

    • I think all the food delivery services are bad now. They used to be really good when they first got introduced into Australia. Now that people are used to it, they've cut it all back

    • Don’t kill off competition bro. Better competition better prices for consumers.

All the recent 7-Eleven Menulog deals were pretty good for me.

    Be aware.

If you’ve had one cashback from menulog in the past , this will track, but will eventually be rejected, regardless of it being a new menulog account.

    • Thanks, didnt know this

      • @gotyourback I hope this is not the case, my wife put an order via my account today (with which I had previously used menulog). Don't see how this should be excluded.

  • What about service charges?
