I’m starting to wonder if I should have just gone with the iPhone 16 128 gb basic model for $1279 could have saved $500.
Ok yes the plus will have bigger screen and much more memory but is it worth $500 more.
I got one for myself and wife for Xmas and it is an upgrade from iPhone SE 2nd gen.
But thinking now maybe the non plus would be good enough.

If you're considering returning it, go play with a basic iPhone 16 in a store first. You might miss the big screen. That's about it. The shorter battery life only really becomes an issue a couple of years down the line and replacing the battery is easy on the iphone 16.
128gb? That's a tough sell.
The basic model for 1339 is way too much.

Why you no 16+ ?
I'm going overseas so I want something now for TRS, 16+ just isn't worth it at current prices. You get a big screen. That's about it. The battery life difference only really becomes an issue a couple of years down the line and replacing the battery is easy on the iphone 16.
