Then I found the HTR6065 which is EXACTLY the same as the RXV673 but $350 less!

I think Flying Ace looked at the thumbnail and saw the RXV473 for $481.60. To get the RXV673 (OK, it's equivalent, the HTR6065) for $418.60 is a great deal.

Oops, sorry! Saw $481.60 and figured it was an easy mistake to swap the 1 and the 8.

Buy in store. That is what I did.

Hoping this will sort out the spaghetti wiring mess and minor problems caused by running HDMI separately to sound through my old Yamaha amp. I'm just concerned my PC can't send audio from the DVI port and I'll have to buy a new video card!
DVI can't send audio anyway, only HDMI. Unless I'm reading what you said wrong?
That's what I figured. I just hope the amp will accept video through HDMI + sound through composite (or something) at the same time.
Just a noob question, between Yamaha RXV373B & Pioneer VSX522. Which one is better?
Yamaha, it has some nicer features the Pioneer is missing. The Pioneer is also prone to not playing well with certain speaker brands/configurations e.g accusound subwoofers.
I got the 373 and its great…but I bought it 6 months ago at 340 discounted already. That's disappointing that it went down that much

Thanks to the poster, grabbed one of these yesterday. Was hanging out until the new Cambridge Audio AV receivers were released but the release date keeps getting pushed back so this will do until it happens.

Picked them up after being directed to another store as they had sold out from internet orders overnight (probably some other ozbargainers!). Have only had the chance to hook one up so far and watched Batman. Very full and crisp sound compared to the old amp. So many new settings i need to learn about now though.

I believe there could be more than one version of this model - according to the link published by boxall, it says:

Anyone know if these would work on the Sony 7.2 Muteki speakers? I have the first gen 7.2 muteki and the ampdoesnt support hdmi 3d. I really want a new amp but I have no idea if they are compatible

Ditto. Tried price matching with 0ptus_Fail's receipt, and the fellow at Knox JB said that it wasn't possible. =[ He would've done it during the 30% off, but not yesterday, so sad. Apparently their buy cost is $275 each.

Received my amp yesterday and never got a shipping dispatch email.
received mine yesterday also - no email, or even tracking number for that matter (it was blanked out in the "its on its way" email)
Haven't got mine, but did receive an email this morning stating it "has been issued to one of our local dispatch stores for shipment".
Still waiting on speakers, subs and wiring so no huge rush. Next weekend should be fun though!

hmmm it's been close to a week now and yet no email for pick up. paypal shows that the payment is pending.
Follow the link in the invoice to JB's "Contact Us" page, and send your local store a "Where is my online order" enquiry. My local JB responded within 1 hour and magically my order is "with courier" within a day. May be it was a coincidence or may be not.
I feel sorry for you(s) still waiting for it. I ordered a few days into the deal and it arrived in about 3 days. The sticker on the box says it came from the local shopping centre about 10 mins away so i would say theyre geting stock not from one central distribution warehouse likevthey do with their dvds but the closest nearest source so it might take little longer a if your local store is out of stock.
the back says 330watt. is it the same as the rxv673? it is also lighter than my old 440watt.
