The deal link should take care of step 1 (the PlayStation platform requirement).

      https://www.ranker.com/list/best-anime-on-crunchyroll/ranker…

So much anime on crunchyroll that it is hard to recommend things because it has such a diversity in subject matter that a lot will come down to your taste.

But from list above I would easily recommend Demon Slayer as well as My Hero Academia, have enjoyed all of the top 20 in that list, bar food wars, which I have not watched.

        • Agree with you, but they asked anime for for newbie. You should not put Silent voice, or Grave of the fireflies on top of the list for newbie.

          • @mfu: thats true, for some reason I didn't read the 'newbie' part haha, my bad

    • +3

      Deathnote is pretty good

      • YAAAASSS!!! =^,_,^=

      Chainsaw man

    • +2

Good, easy to watch, bit of action, well animated and good English dub for the most part. In some sort of loose order:

      Frieren
      Delicious in Dungeon (Netflix)
      Kaiju No. 8
      Mob Psycho 100
      Chainsaw Man
      Spy x Family
      Lycoris Recall
      My Hero Academia
      Dragon Ball
      Jujutsu Kaisen
      Solo Levelling

      Attack On Titan
      One Punch Man (🏴‍☠️?)
      Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (🏴‍☠️)

Depends on what you're interested in. Slice of life? Comedy? Action/adventure? Horror? Sports anime?

      • +1

This exactly, or if you have an anime you liked a lot, we can give recommendations for ones that give the same vibe

        • -1

          Ill just browse

    • Attack on Titan.
Netflix has lots of good Manga as well.

    • +4

Obviously everyone has different tastes and preferences so best of luck!

      Death note
      Attack on titan
      Black clover
      Jujutsu Kaisen
      Demon Slayer
      Hunter x hunter

Favourites from this list were hunter x hunter, jjk and black clover

you have good taste my friend, HxH one of the best

        • A shame it'll never be finished

      • The first anime i watched was kill la kill….

    • Chainsaw man

    • Demon Slayer - the animation production value is insane.

      • Arguably the best… better than AOT (got really messed up last few seasons)

        • All AoT had to do was not switch Animation companies for the final stretch and it would've been great. I personally couldn't stand watching the final arc because of how different everything looked.

      Highly recommend Cowboy Bebop

    • Full Metal Alchemist

Crunchyroll has improved considerably but it still lacks a bunch of big anime. There are a lot of free anime websites with much better libraries and UI.

    • There are a lot of free anime websites with much better libraries and UI.

      Any links please?

      • Seeing as some of the comments got removed, I think best way is to look up free anime sites on reddit and theres a pretty big community that gives updates (as I find a lot of sites get taken down or change their domain) or you can ask there yourself :)

      • Wow I didn’t know that comments like that got deleted…it’s a legit site. Sorry mods.

        • +1

Maybe better send the links through message/PM.

        • It's piracy…

        • +1

It's a legit looking website but the animes are not licensed. You can google "is <sitename> legal" and there are links telling you that they are not.

Subscribed and cancelled straight away. Membership will stay active until the end of the trial period.

  • Maybe due to me never having had mega fan tier before but it let me trial as a previous subscriber (subscription lapsed last month)

They removed one of the biggest features that made Crunchyroll worth paying for - the comments. I keep paying for it but I'm not too sure why.

  • Great timing, I just found out this morning there's a Nier: Automata anime and I was looking for ways to watch it!

  • This is going to be a divisive question hah, but does Crunchyroll provide English dubs where available or only Japanese audio?

    • They do provide English dubs, yes.

    • A lot, but not all, series have English dubs.

Even new releases have dubs, with the dubs usually released 2 weeks after the Japanese episode goes live.

For those without dubs you do have subs

    • Theres alot that have english dubs. I would start of watching english dubs but after an anime or 2 in jap with english subs it becomes easy to wathc

  • Does it have Made in Abyss season 2? Not sure where to watch that but keen

    • -3

      Keen 😬🤢

Made in the abyss is like paedophile's twisted dream

      • It's just dark with younger characters. Like watching grave of the fireflies if you can't stomach it then yea it's not for you..

        • -1

I watched season 1 and it was borderline ok. But gave up second season a few EPS in.

I reckon I'm pretty normal not stomaching and wanting to continue watching child rape/watching children urinating etc

Plus author is buddies with a paedo

P.S it's not on Crunchyroll to answer your original question

        • +1

While I've not seen it, I've just done some reading and it sounds… messed up. Diarrhea as a recurring issue, regular fondling and joking about kids testicles and penises. Child rape, child decapitation and so on. Somewhat frequent pissing scenes. Yeah, nah.

    • Season 1, the movie Dawn of the Deep Soul, and Season 2 are all on hidive for Aussies. Watch in that order.

  • Had to use PayPal to signup.
Debit/Credit cards just would not work with errors.

  • One Piece Banzaiiii

  • Dragon ball Daima just started. New episodes weekly

  • Samurai champloo vs Cowboy Bepop; which is the better anime?

    • both are excellent, same director iirc.

  • Heard Lebanon is good to migrate to. 800000 year. Equals to less then $14/year.
A year ago it was only 75000 so gone up 10x. Still cheap. Renewed July with new price. They are using revolut card.
