I wouldn't trust the quality of amazon tools lol
Thank you! 131-Piece looks good.
If take that colour hammer to a work site it would be used on me .No thanks .But great list op thanks
Great thumb nail for people to click into the post though XD
Why would adults on a work site care or react to the colour of a tool?
Also pink used to be colour for boys, this stuff is so stupid you have to pretty fragile and insecure to be scared of a colour.
If your mum dressed you in pink you might now have some reason to be a bit funny.
By the way, I'm not sure on your culture, but in western cultures traditionally pink was the colour for young girls, and blue was the colour for young boys.
Was that a memory fade while having a spit, or did your family have different habits?@rooster7777: Yes, those colours have always been strongly gendered in the western tradition, but it used to be the opposite way — blue for girls and pink for boys. Pink used to be seen as a "strong" colour. This association did not fully flip around until around the 1960s & 70s.
@rooster7777: The voice of ignorance, right here. Even when someone earlier on already alluded to pink previously bring a boys' colour. In the USA- is that Western enough for you?
Keep sucking on the teat of corporate marketing, my friend.
Why do you think?
You’ve never been on a work site have you?
Why would adults on a work site care or react to the colour of a tool?
A comment from someone who's never worked on a construction site.
Because its not the "norm" yes the color itself isn't typical "boy" blue.
But just in general its an odd hammer to bring to a job site.Brand new hard hat within 5mins somebody will flip it off your head and scratch it.
Brand new shiny boots somebody will stamp your foot to dirty them.A job site is rather a brotherhood, People run similar tools, similar clothing. Theres certain colors to job sites and normally its Red (Milwaukee/Hilti) Yellow(Dewalt) Orange(Paslode) Green/Black (Makita, Hikoki)
Now you decide to bring a new color into a turf war you better be prepared to go and catch it everytime somebody throws it 20meters away. That's not a brotherhood, that's a cult.
@DoubleWookie: Well, there is a C in CFMEU, it's not a B
Its a security feature, no one will touch it.
Hammer time, you can't touch this

Colour: Pink Style: Hammer Verified Purchase
I purchased this hammer for myself because I had two other hammers disappear when workers picked up their tools. I figured no one would walk away with a pink one. I’m very happy with the hammer, it’s the perfect size for small jobs around the house and I just love love love the pink handle.
Id be more worried about the shit quality hammer for $9.90 not the color
The head will probably snap off and lodge in your forehead
In the market for a hammer, but this looked wrong to me!
Any recommendations/ price points to start from at the green box to minimise cranial damage? - Cheers
Estwing 16oz. Solid general purpose hammer.

Sounds like an aggressive workplace. I’d consider getting into nursing, or some other field where the masculinity isn’t so fragile.
I suspect you've never been on a worksite with aggressive youngish males…. so I do agree with you that nursing might be a better place for you to consider.
Although there is a bit of crossover amongst the professions with more flexible people."aggressive youngish males" eh? I wonder where they learn their habits from? Must be some top notch role models on site.
Or maybe their mum dressed them in high-vis as a child so they came out a bit funny.
A recommendation from someone that's never worked with nurses.
Several items for me are not on sale as per your prices, like the screwdriver set and the multi tool.
They're also absolutely shit quality and not even good prices. Bunnings has the same sort of items for less. $5 for 200g hammer, cheaper screwdriver sets, same price for genuine brands.
Plus not giving Jeff Bozo your money: priceless
Giving Bunnings your money is not much better than giving it to Jeff :/
They are also creating a monopoly and ruining the HW store competition
Have the $5 hammer from Bunnings and quality has been fine for me, can't comment on the Amazon one though.
But at that price, just get two from Bunnings and dual-wield ;)
Craftright 8oz/ 226g Steel Claw Hammer
Or for $9.98 upgrade to the 20oz one.
Craftright 20oz Solid Claw hammer@Ezekiel2320 I'll have you know that Amazon tools are made of the finest cheese metal!
Apologies, they were available when I put this together last night. Removed.
All good, just wanted to FYI it.
It's appreciated, glad I could fix it early.
The 36 pack of microfiber cloths at $19.90 is better value than the 24 pack. The Amazon tools are probably shit quality but the hex allen keys and microfibre cloths seems like a good buy. Maybe the wire brush kit as well
Added.
If you have OnePass, Bunnings have $10 for 20 pack same size microfibre cloths. So for 10c more than Amazon you can get 4 more cloths and flybuy points with free delivery from OnePass.
Good tip thanks I'll go for that
I remember the last time a pink hammer was on here, the comments were absolutely incredible. This was by far my favourite haha
my favourite was “yeah with a pink hammer, we can protect our virginity”. 😂
also for the first time saw a comment removed for reason “troll”. there must have been some master of baiting trolls on here in the past. so good they got comments removed. 😮
They should sell a bag of 10mm sockets
Cut out the middleman and buy them direct https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/CR-V-10mm-1-2-Mirror_…
Can confirm the wire brush set is not suitable to use on a car
Only for soft paintwork, not chrome or glass?
What's the Temu equivalent?
I thought aliexpress was the temu equivalent…. in the evolution from Zazz to Zapals to fleabay to Catch to amazon to temu to aliexpress.
Am I missing something?Probably something made of plastic
A product that is made of pure trash that breaks in a nanosecond that is advertised with a 15 second fever dream micro advert.
Amazon taking a bit from Bunnings :D
For anyone looking at the tape measure and thinking "I want good accuracy, not mid-accuracy" (like me), apparently MID is Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU.
Been quite happy with the SCA tape measures.
And the SCA 10m tape measure is a whole 90c cheaper.
https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/toolpro-toolpro-tape-mea…this is the hammer kitty edition.
if right at the top of the round bit the hammer had two pink kitty ears it would be perfect. UwU.
if it drops to $2 I would probably buy it without thinking just because it fits an aesthetic.
I know Amazon basics is pretty good quality in general but still seems expensive/regular prices?
like not Kmart level sale prices..
OP why did you not post this one!?
cuuuuuuute. 🤗 https://www.amazon.com.au/Amazon-Basics-4-Piece-Screwdrivers…
should have put the 6th pic of the hammer as the thumbnail lol
Quality, fails, injury, damage, and warranty / return concerns.
Even if free, most of that would not be under my tree this Xmas.
All of those are features when you hate the recipient of the gift.
Amazon Basics 131-Piece General Household Home Repair and Mechanic's Hand Tool Kit Set
I'm impressed, none of that 131 piece kit are Cable Ties (Unlike the Kmart kits back in the day). Good job Amazon :)
you have to buy pink to get cable ties. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C65H3RHY
Cheers for the organised list! S2
