Best price since the recent launch. Normally $360 - $390 locally. Not local stock so you will need to have an Australian kettle plug to use it with. I am sure for a lot of us, we have heaps of these cables lying around anyway!

Picked one up, these are the best SF PSUs globally

    Itx 5090 friendly

    • +17

5090: "Look at me. I'm the motherboard now."

  • About time they released this.

  • To buy or wait till Black Friday hoping local stock have discounts?

    • +1

This isn't going to go on any significant sale on black friday. If you are in the market, buy now. It will go on sale for this price again, but won't be during black Friday sales.

      • +2

What makes you think it will go on sale again, but not for BF/CM? Its annoying since 1000W is likely overkill, but a SF850 locally is the same price as this deal :(

        • +5

Black Friday sales are just jacked prices "discounted". The best deals happen throughout the year randomly. Like this.

I would never be waiting for good deals on black frriday, you will only be disappointed.

Plus there isn't enough stock of this item to be included in black Friday sales. The only local stores I have seen stock this for far are mwabe briefly and scorptec. They will only discount stock they have plenty of.

          • @drinkin-beer: Fair, I think they're new enough it'll be a while until they go on sale here.

Need an SFX and am tempted at this price just because 1000W will keep it relevant through many builds.

Do you think we'd need to worry about warranty/returns for such a quality PSU?

            • +1

@sicarius: Very unlikely to have an issue and this PSU will serve you well for a long time.

Warranty won't be an issue since it's through Amazon Australia.

Probably need to buy an au power cord for these

  • Do these use Type-4 cables like the old school SF750? Would be good to reuse my custom cables.

    • +3

      picture says type 5 only

      • Thanks. I was on the phone and couldn't see the writing on the pic.

Shame. Will need all new custom cables.

        • +1

looks like there's type 5 to type 4 conversion plugs available on etsy. I'm in the same boat, have an sf750 with all custom cables and keen on trying out those adapters.
          edit
          On Moddiy not etsy.

  • Good deal. SF750 is still enough for 4090/5090 + 14900k/9950x, but very good price for SF1000.

    • +6

      Isn’t 5090 said to be 600w?

      • +1

        Yes. It's still enough.

The SF750 caps out around 970w for sustained load, and higher for transient spikes.

It's a very good "750w" psu, in that it's nearly an identical hardware platform to the Great Wall TF850 (850w, 80+ Plat) while being quieter.

        https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/corsair-sf750-psu,5979-…

I have been running 670w OC vbios + 13900k for rendering workloads 24/7 and have yet to trip my SF750. I know multiple other people doing 4090 + 14900k OC.

        No need to upgrade to SF1000 for 5090, unless it's a 5090 with a 1000w vbios (Galax HOF / PNY K|NGP|N etc).

  • Arrrg I just bought the Loki from Scorptec would have preferred this,,,, :(

  • Bought a 750 for $250 just last month @.@

  • +1

This is a very good buy considering the premium pro kit cables (type 5) are currently $149.00.

I was considering to get a 850w SFX PSU which are currently from ranging $210 - $260.00

    Ordered, thanks OP

    • Do these come with cables equivalent to the premium pro kit!?

      Can't find much info online.

  • Just be mindful of the fitment. earlier in the year I bought a Corsair 1200X, good PSU. Arguably unnecessary , and cable plugs into the side so had to change cases as well.

I like it, no issues etc.. but my old 800w is still going strong delivering outcomes on my kids 1080ti set up, and probably would have been fine.

    • The 1200X is a "shift" power supply made specifically for that.

"CORSAIR RMx SHIFT Series fully modular power supplies boast a revolutionary patent-pending side cable interface"
      https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020254-na/rm1200x-sh…

This is a standard SFX (small form factor) power supply so the cables will be on the opposite side to where you plug in your mains lead.

  • Thanks OP I ordered one. I had a question though does corsair honour the warranty if amazon Germany is delivering the product? Though the power supply is very reliable I am just wondering if I am giving up on warranty for the 60-70$ discount (sells for around $360 locally).

    • I would also like to know regarding this

    • +3

Anything bought through the Amazon Australia (.com.au) site must adhere to Australian Consumer law. You will have full warranty.

If you buy from the Amazon US (.com) site and ship to Australia, different story. Pretty sure there is no warranty if you do this.

Thanks for replying mate. That means this purchase should be as good as buying local.
