Tell em the price son..its $199

  • Cloud storage compatible? What does compatible mean?

  • +1

Price in title and store name too.
Buy it once and do it properly. This camera is low resolution - might be good for keeping an eye on a pet. Doesn't mention the IP rating. So much information is missing.
I'd suggest spending a bit more and looking at Reolink.

    • IP65 according to the third image on the Aldi site. 1080p resolution but the fidelity is probably not great…

    Manual here: https://support.cocoonproducts.com.au/hc/en-au/article_attac…

Given the name of the app (Ie. Cocoon Connect), and the UI in the screenshots, it's almost certainly a Tuya ecosystem product.

    • +1

Can confirm - these are tuya based, good if you already have a tuya ecosystem at home but not great for connecting to other systems.

To add to this, I believe it to be a JS-K233 from Shenzhen Whale Vision Technology, powered by what looks like an unknown model Anyka SoC.

If you think about it, the value proposition does not exist here. It's $39.8 each for what is a 2MP 1080p bullet camera.

For that amount, I think you are likely to be able to purchase a range of 4MP PTZ cameras elsewhere.

  • 1080p. So qualitywill be very poor. Might scare away amateur burglars. Thats about it.

Probably. But resolution spec alone doesn't really tell how good the image quality is, you need to know the video bitrate.

So a 1440p camera with low bitrate can be a lot less detail than a high bitrate 1080p video.
