Don't expect anything from Lenovo, as a Chinese guy, I can assure you they never give you more than 2 years of update. Sometimes just 1 year on lower end models
decent
@Clear to purchase or not to purchase, this is thy question?
It's the weaker global version of the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2023.
I would say the MediaTek chip is the weak point, but I don't really know what I'm talking about
Actually the high end MediaTek chips are better than Snapdragon now, new the Galaxy Tabs uses 9300+, which is better than Apple's A17
Fair enough, but the one in the tablet posted here isn't a high end one.
I have the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2023. Great tablet which has the same size 12.7" display as this. I don't use it as often as I anticipated though as it is somewhat big and unwieldy. If I could rewind my purchase I would be looking at a screen size somewhere between 10" or 11" instead.
I'm the opposite to you, I bought the xiaoxin pad pro 2022 with the 11" screen as opposed to the 2023 version, mainly because of the oled screen (which I like). But, for my use case (scribbling notes for work), I should've got the larger screen instead.
Swapsies!

As opposed to all of those other Android tablets which have replaceable RAM lol
this looks like it would be great for the plane
FYI this is the global release of the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2023. The main difference besides stock Android is that you get the weaker MediaTek Dimensity 7050 over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. Since they both use different chipsets you can't use Lenovo RSA to reflash the Xiaoxin to the global ROM.
Obviously OP's deal has the benefit of local warranty.
$419 on Lenovo Education store (+ cashback)
This fr a 60hz screen aye
144HzNope you're right. Another downside compared to China version.
Quite interesting. Same model I think as goes on sale on AliExpress every month or so. But of course local warranty is appealing.
What version of android, and what updates will it be expected to get? Also, support for Dolby vision and HDR10? It would be great to see detailed technical specs.
