[Short Dated] 70x Fexit 180mg (Exp Nov 24) + 30x Fexorelief (Exp Jan 25) $11.99 Delivered @ PharmacySavings

Hi Ozbargainers,

Over the past 5 years its been rare to get my hands on short dated fexo stock as all fexo usually sells out and then sits as "OOS" at supplier level for months while the convict isle waits on its allocation of international stock. But anyone in the aussie pharmacy supply chain knows its floods or droughts with medicine supply in Australia.

Anyway - currently its raining fexo!

Just when I thought I was at the tail end of the Fexit 180mg 70x Tab boxes, another carton rolls in the door expiring at the end of November. I still have around 60ish boxes of 30tab Fexorelief 180mg (same Fexofenadine Hydrochrloride active ingredient) so I've bundled them up tonight to hopefully clear them all out in one night (tonight). At this price I'm making zero (actually less than zero), but the alternative is that I sit on the product for a month or two then put whatever I have in the bin.

Item: 70x Fexit 180mg (Exp: End November 2024) + 30x Fexorelief (Exp: End Jan 2025) = 100 Tabs total
Price: $11.99

  • What does short dated mean in real life for these … is the usable date still a year from now?

      I don't think our professional indemnity insurer would like me chiming to answer that question, but if you search google;

      "can you take hayfever medication after the used by date" you will have plenty of reading material

      • I understand. Thanks.

      He probably can’t officially say they’re fine, but… they’re fine.

      The vast majority of blister packed pharmaceuticals retain 90+% of their efficacy for years after their official expiry dates.

        Thanks. I thought that may be the answer.

          • 90% of more than 100 drugs, both prescription and over-the-counter, were perfectly good to use even 15 years after the expiration date

          • stored under optimal conditions, many drugs retain 90% of their potency for at least five years after the labeled expiration date

  • Doctors has told me several times that medicine doesn't ever expire. You can drink it years later. The only thing is that it can be less effective the older it gets. Note this is not medical advice lol, just stating what has been said to me

  • does the trust fexit 180 cause drowsiness?
