  • What are the amd & nvidia promotions on atm for the Vision Ultra?

    • For AMD, it's Unknown 9: Awakening and Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2, for Nvidia it's Star Wars Outlaws!

  • Can you provide the dimension for the AOC CG399M Case please. I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

    • +1

      L425, W285, H375 - All measurements in mm. Height includes feet :)

  • +1

Will ATO see "gaming pc" on the recipe?

    • +1

The invoice includes the name of the PC eg. Vision Ultra, and a list of components - if you have any concerns chuck us a DM and we'll sort it out :)

  • Any luck with being accepted as part of the MSI promo?

    • +1

Still working on it! Hopefully in the next few weeks.

      • Thanks. Also assume the case is your own import rebrand. Doesn't actually have a gala log on the front does it? What front input does it have and where is it located?

        • You caught us red-handed, Gala logo is a sticker ;) - It's an AOC case. 1x USB3, 2x USB2 on the top.

  • what are free games with vision lite deal? also how do these deals stack up against vision elite on the website?

    • Vision Lite is elegible for the Nvidia game promotion, but not the AMD unless you upgrade to the Ryzen 7700+

Compared to the Vision Elite, these deals are killer.

  • is it possible to get the Lian Li O11D EVO RGB case with the ultra?

    • Sure thing, send us a DM and we'll generate a custom order link for you - There will be an additional cost as that case is a bit more expensive.

What's the reasoning behind picking Gigabyte B650M Gaming WiFi as mobo?
TechSpot has some terrible reviews on it, especially VRM thermals
Sure it's enough for 7500f and should be ok for 7800x3d but it still performs worse than alternatives and makes a future upgrade to ryzen9 completely unavailable/useless.

For example, the Gigabyte B650M Gaming WiFi costs $150 and failed our test miserably, throttling the 7950X so aggressively that performance was reduced by 35%.
While it's true that all of them will work fine with a Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 5 part, in most cases, it makes no sense to buy these boards as they don't offer any additional features or a better price than competing models that passed the test.

Oh wow, that's not good at all.

Swapping all the models over to gaming plus wifi as we speak :)

      • arent they saying that one is the weakest?

        • Doesn't the Gaming WiFi and Gaming Plus WiFi use the same 5+2+2 VRM? Wouldn't the results be roughly the same then?

        • +2

No, the MSI Gaming Plus Wifi is the best of the affordable ones, they're exclaiming how cheap it is considering the quality of the VRM configuration

          • +1

@TeflonBrain: Correct that MSI Gaming Plus Wifi is the one with the better VRM

In this case @Callum1080 is referring to the Gigabyte Gaming Wifi and Gaming Plus Wifi that are the bad ones as they use the same VRMs.

The names are pretty much the same so it is easy to get confused…

            • +1

@whateva: @whateva I was replying to @wsb, the techspot article in the OP doesn't mention the Gigabyte Gaming Plus Wifi, so when wsb said "Aren't they saying that's the weakest" I imagine they were talking about the MSI

              • @TeflonBrain: This is good to know. We'll definitely be working on stocking some motherboards with better VRMs for a similar price. Really appreciate the feedback.

OZB loves a bargain so we're always trying to do the best prices while offering plentiful upgrade options. For these PCs, you can upgrade to the MSI version for an additional $60, and we have a fair few other options for a reasonable price.

From our testing we haven't had any issues with throttling and the likes, but definitely understandable that everyone wants the best of the best - problem is it doesn't usually come cheap!

    • thanks for pointing this out, stopped me purchasing. All the pre-builds i've seen seem to have the MSI or Gigabyte B650M variants that have these limitations

      • +1

Alot of the MSI B650m boards don't have the same issue I don't think. Sure they aren't the best of the best, but are suitable for the price is my understanding. Temps are still higher on most, but some don't seem to throttle.

  • Thanks, I have just purchased the just vision lite, I think it was definitely with upgrading to the 7600x and the gaming plus motherboard. Considering they are 50$ each it’s a no brainer. Should be a decent 1440p rig, what do others think?

    • +4

Seems to be a very reputable company,
after paying for the gaming plus MOBO, they upgraded the base model to include the Gaming Plus card, but I had already placed my order.
They have reached out (without my prompting) and refunded the charge for the motherboard upgrade.
      Cheers legends.

  • Any chance of the wood case making a return? And any other 4080Super options for upgrade charge?
