Mine arrived in an envelope on Monday. Won't be too far now.

  • Note can also use as a cr2025 replacement

Replacement for what exactly? The difference between them is the number denotes the size. Cr2032 is thicker than Cr2025, so no, you can't use Cr2025 as a replacement unless you think you can use a AAA as a replacement for a AA.

      • They have the same diameter and voltage. I think they probably mean they are interchangeable if the socket accepts thicker batteries.

        • Correct, seems they are somewhat interchangeable. At least I've been able to use the larger one (2032) in place of the thinner 2025 in a car key remote. However, it didn't work the other way around (i.e. a garage remote which used a 2032, tried a 2025 but it didn't work). So may only able to substitute the larger capacity battery.

@werdplaya58: Just add an isolator washer if the battery is thinner than socket and ensure negative and positive flaps are touching the corresponding poles on the battery

            • @xmagic: Worth a try next time, though I'm now the owner of 10 new 2032 batteries so shouldn't have the issue for awhile :)

Come on. AA=AAA + a bit of foil

  • do these go in motherboards

    • Some, yes.

  • Is Maxwell a good brand? They are only $4.99 on eBay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355398420014

    • Are you sure they are genuine? Lots of imitation ones around.

EDIT: those aren't even any brand. Maxwell are a decent brand.

      • Sorry I was referring to OPs being Maxwell, not the eBay link

Did anyone have issues with Maxell batteries? Bought some from a local supplier, but they don't seem to play well with certain car (Mercedes/Mazda) remotes.

Put a Panasonic one in there and it work right off the bat.

  • can I use the cr2025 for airtags?

Maxwell is good but I wouldn’t buy from third party sellers - there are too many low quality counterfeit in general like SD cards or hydro flask.
