It's not bad, but a bit of a useless tool imho . Hopefully they match the mini chainsaw.

I mean, any tool is useless if you don't have a use for it? A hedge trimmer is useless if you don't have anything to trim!

I'm sure if you have a good lot of lawn and reseed it each year, this would be a handy tool.

I own a fair amount of dubious Ozito gear, but this takes the cake. There are similar manual seed spreaders that cost less, are lighter, easier to clean, and with fewer moving parts and complexity. I use one on 500sqm of lawn and it already spreads seed quicker than you can walk behind it, and needs to be refilled every few paces. So even if this battery-powered one discharged seeds like a fire house, it wouldn't make the job quicker, because that never was the bottleneck in the first place.

        • Agree, I got the same one.. already find it spreads more than enough - the bottleneck is myself!

Sorry, can you clarify why it's useless? I just scattering weed and feed and fertiliser by hand and don't do a great job when doing it. Is there a better way of doing it?

Edit: Just found out hand spreaders are a thing. Life changed.

I just scattering weed and feed and fertiliser by hand

Off-topic: Don't use "weed and feed", the "weed" part is useless. Buy a cheap 5L hand sprayer and use the herbicide that targets the weed you want to eradicate.

I have this and it's great. Purchased and returned both the manual spreaders Bunnos sells and they're crap, bad ergonomics and jam up.
This thing is worth every cent and I paid full price for it.

  • I bought this a few weeks ago at full price. Anyone had any luck getting Bunnings to refund the price difference?

Buy new one. Use old receipt to return it on your next visit. Zero questions asked as it’s brand new in box.

I buy my fertiliser from Sneed's Feed and Seed (formerly Chuck's).

Just in time for spring ! Gonna spread some seeds. I have loads.

    • You need fertiliser, too.

    Thanks OP!

  • I have one. Love it for over seeding and spreading ferts. Once you use one you'll quickly think hand spreaders are overrated 😁

    • seems like a bit of a waste, how often do you use it? couple of times a year? if you have an acerage or something then sure but for an average suburban lot?

hopefully aldi come out with a powered pruner soon, got my eyes set on this, great chrissy present for mum who is constantly in the garden

but a bit pricey atm, hopefully theres a discount before christmas

      • May be wrong, buI have not seen it go on special. It is however, worth it at full price in my opinion.

I have had one for about a year and it is great. My yard has about 20+ metres of photinia hedge, and this is great for the thicker stuff that the hedge trimmer cant handle.
