  • U6+ doesn’t have a fan at least

    • +8

I dont understand this obsession with fans… what am I missing?

I can't hear them running in my U7 Pros?

Perhaps dont sleep with them under your pillow?

If the policy is that you're close enough to hear a fan running in a wireless AP, perhaps just connect the device via ethernet?

It's just that it's another thing to "potentially" break.

The more complex a mechanism the more likely defects will happen.

Personally I couldn't care less IF the replacements are easy to come by and the fix is trivial.

Also we have an AP in our bedroom.
Plus U7 is the latest product. If it’s anything like Apple products then when a new software version comes out it’ll run hot and become noisy

          • @Commodore64: I've got three U7 Pro, never heard the fan ever, one in bedroom. 90 days uptime haven't skipped a beat.

        • Something that overheats without cooling is also susceptible to "breaking" - never heard the fan on any of mine, either they're not activating or just sensibly designed for noise

        • Mirroring others on the anecdotal evidence: never had the fan kick in on mine.

It is highly unlikely this will ever happen in a residential setting.

          • @Krishg: well if it does, it's because it's jot & you'll either turn your fan or aircon on which will be much louder.

If you want a ceiling fan buy a ceiling fan. Business/enterprise grade ceiling mounted APs with fans is…. unusual and rare.

  • U6+ slightly cheaper @ CentreCom. $177 + Surchage.

    • +2

Yep, these prices are ok - not really bargains though.

    We have some good deals

You're not offering anything, Woolworths is. If you really wanted to offer something you could have discounted/match your website prices:

    EM Your website
    Ubiquiti UniFi U6+ $187.99 $179
    Ubiquiti UDM SE $999 $939
    • +1

      Oath.

Thanks for the feedback! We've reached out to Ubiquiti for support on these two SKUs, and we're happy to let you know that we've revised these prices accordingly to reflect their support.

      • +2

Are you not the ones that set your own price on Everyday Market? What's Ubiquiti "support" got to do with anything?

      • You need Ubiquiti's support to match your Wireless1 EM store front to your own Wireless1 website?

    • Also these are the regular prices these products have been forever…

  • hmm…sound like the feedback people are getting rejected for their tracked cash back.

ShopBack reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any users at any point of time.

It is ridiculous to solicit sales of $999 devices (UDM SE), offering such vague possibilities of $279.72 cashbacks.

Yes, I understand that cash back is not guaranteed, but at some point, given Australian consumer law, this practice shouldn't continue, particularly given $999 is not a good price for the UDM SE.'

Expressed another way, will Wireless1 assist anyone who buys these devices and does not have their cashback tracked?

I'm in the market for new Ubiquiti gear to fit out the home we're building, so I do appreciate finding the best (cheapest) way to obtain the hardware.

I can see your point (and others above) and have no argument against it, but I thought it worth letting you know there are OzBargainer's out there who do appreciate these posts :-)

I ordered a Smart Flood Light, I paid Woolworths $184.99, ShopBack has emailed me to say they're tracking a $51.80 return on the purchase ($133.19 total)

      • +2

Wait and see if your cashback will hit your bank account or you will get a rejection email when the time comes.

Be warned guys, Wireless1 selling out of stock items as in stock (especially Ubiquiti), you will be waiting for a while

        • Roger that! I'll post back here if I remember :-)

wait another month for Black Friday.

  • $200 cap on cashback as well.

  • Any deals on U7-Pro or U6-Pro?
Doesn't look like it through the woolworths site.

    • I'd advise steering clear of the U6 Enterprise, we've had nothing but trouble with them at work (I've got 50+ of them in the field).

      • ouch, what's been happening?

    • I have got U7-pro for $319 from https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/276392834733

      • Yeah saw that.
Has been hovering around that price for a while now

If you are after a quick delivery I wouldn't order from Wireless1 …

I ordered something on the 18th September through Everyday Market, with a expected delivery time of 23-26th September.

Tracking information shows nothing has happened despite raising two queries through Everyday Market.

    • same here but 19th September- (UDM Pro)

      • speak of the devil
Thought to check tracking and it's on its way

  • I'm still waiting for a refund on the postage of a faulty product from an order back in late August.

Learn from my mistake, and stay away from this vendor.

  • Good to see Wireless1 peddling Ubiquiti gears through Woolies and spruiking cashback as a deal, must be a slow month.

  • @Wireless1 able to post the UCG-Ultra on the Everyday Market?
