if anyone is wondering if this is a good price, yes it is

    • +1

yea, this has been the price for 7600 non X. Good price

    • +1

      Yep

This is hands down now,the best Bang for buck gaming cpu

You can now grab this, and a mid tier b650 board for under 500

  • I just need a deal on RAM now

  • +1

    New build
This or the 5900x for $312?

Mainly productivity focus, with light gaming (likely with alot! left open in the background).
AM5 will likely be more costly and currently not enough of an upgrade?

    • +1

This… way better future proofing and gaming performance…. 5900X is a complete wast unless your going to use all 12 cores often.

    • +1

Am4 makes no sense longevity wise

7600x makes more sense,it smashes even the 5800x3d at CERTAIN games, allows u to pop in a 9000 cpu..and likely anothe 2 generations of CPU

    • If you need productivity that can utilise 12 cores 5900x https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-9700x/9.html
      If Gaming 7600x https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-9700x/18.html
7600x has another advantages, you can just upgrade CPU without new m/b and RAM in few years time. ie when 9900x, 7800x3d or 9800x3d is so cheap. AM4 or 5900x no new upgrade path.

  • X models no cpu cooler.

if you are using as a basic system I would almost go the ryzen 5 7600 with the cooler at the same price

honestly getting a 7500f from ali express for like $180 is not much different, but you get better temps, the only issue is the warranty, but how often do people return cpu's for RMA????

    • +2

Return CPU's? how often? .. intel "YES"

      • +1

Yeah I can't speak for intel havent used them in years, but personally I have never had to return a ryzen cpu and no one i know has had to either, pretty sure that's the common theme with amd cpu's!

        • TSMC makes a great product

    • I actually had to return my 7600x when they first came out. I think it was something to do with memory channels, lots of crashing and I couldn’t get my ram to run any higher than JEDEC. I bought for around $400 so I was glad for an easy return then.

      • Yeah i've never heard of that sort of issue causing a return, but that's fair enough!

        • I had the same problem with a 5800x.

Would not NO matter what run any ram past 3000mhz.

4 diffrent boards all same issue,3 sets of ram.

Soon as RMA the cpu got another one, could pop it right to 3600..so clearly still some iffy memory issues with amd

      • did u get a replacement one hopefully w better memory support ?

        • Yeah I’ve been able to overclock to 6200mhz on the same 5600mhz kit of ram at 1:1 inifinity fabric. This CPUs also stable w/ -30 offset, won the CPU lottery with this one.

          • @Jeffbro2222: nice, i was doing my head in tryna figure out ram stuff w my ryzen 5700x.

I ended up having to spend $100 to downgrade to 32gbs of ddr4-3200mhz ram but… I reckon it's still not workin as intended so might replace motherboard and then possibly the memory controller on it is weak as well so may have to try return that as well i reckon.

    • I have returned a 5700x for WHEA18 and random BSOD once or twice per day, the replacement worked well so far though.

  • i have B450 pro4 mobo , does this cpu fit in? thinking to upgrade from r5 3600

    Shipping says November 15th 😭

    • Yeah, I placed an order but that shipping estimate is very long.

  • this is a fantastic price…paid for $345 for mine back in April.

  • Are the X3D ryzen chips expected to go down. I'm on a 5600 and looking for a substantial upgrade for DCS.

  • $355 at 2.30pm, but was the $280 at 1pm, missed out cos was busy at work…

  • Received mine today. So delivery time was about a week or so.

Note that I ordered during a brief period when the delivery estimate dropped from November to October.
